Because the mother enables (merit) to increase and is a virtuous friend, one should serve her. The place is not allowed to be (done) at the mother's, father's, or sick family member's place. One should also serve parents and sick family members. Parents are the benefactors who nourished and raised my body, and because they raised me in this way, I obtained a virtuous body, so (one should serve); for sick family members, it is out of compassion. Bathhouses and the like are for washing. In order to wash, accumulating bathing utensils, and accumulating washing medicines for illness, it is permissible to consider washing, there is no fault. It will also be explained below. To expel wind, it is said that washing with boiled roots, leaves, stems, flowers, and fruits is permissible. Medicines for expelling wind diseases and the like, from the root ritual becoming medicine, and from leaves and fruits becoming medicine, all of these can be washed with after boiling. Because it is not astringent, it should be smeared. If washed with medicinal juice, the flesh will disperse and will not recover, so first smear with butter. Remove the grease. After smearing with butter, smear with oil and rub. For the sake of the previous, drip two or three drops of oil into the final water.
