If one leaves a single robe in a householder's home and is separated from it for up to six days, there is no fault. But if there is no cause or condition, and the dawn of the seventh day arrives, it becomes an offense of expiation. If there is always a cause, there is no fault in being separated from the time of ordination until the cause arises. If a monk goes away from the monastery to attend to some business, and there are bandits on the road, fearing robbery, he may leave one of his robes in a householder's home and is allowed to travel for up to six days. If the road is blocked by a single bandit and a condition arises, there is no fault even if six days have passed. But one has no authority to exceed that. According to the Sutra Pitaka, if six days have passed and no condition has arisen, then exceeding six days becomes an offense of expiation. There is no fault if one does not return due to being controlled by an obstacle. As before, if six days have passed and a condition of obstacle arises, such as bandits, a broken bridge, or being blocked by enemies, there is no fault even if six days have passed. If one exceeds this time, exceeding six days, it is not a limb (of the vow). If a monk who has taken ordination goes to attend to some business, and leaves after having been empowered by the mantra of the seventh day, even if the matter is accomplished in one or two days, it is said that seven days are allowed, and one should not wander about. If one does not return immediately after the matter is accomplished, the discipline will be broken. If a monk leaves his robes in the monastery and goes to attend to some business for up to six days, even if the matter is accomplished in one day, there is no fault even if he does not return within six days. The discipline is that if one leaves for the sake of life or for the sake of business, and there is control of fear on the road, possessing these three limbs, there is no fault even if one is separated from the robes for six days. The expiation of separation for six days. The expiation of separation for six days, from the Sutra that appears in the "Questions of the Vinaya." Explanation of the expiation of the large cloth: From the day one takes ordination until the first day of the previous month, searching for the summer cloth, no matter when one takes ordination, from the day one takes ordination until one month, there is no fault in searching for the summer cloth. One may hold it for half a month after the summer has passed. No matter when one takes ordination, there is no fault in holding the summer cloth for fifteen days from the time of ordination. One should strive in the earlier and later times. From the day of taking ordination, one month

Bhiṣuṭa said: If one seeks summer cloth before entering retreat, or if one holds it for more than half a month after the start of the retreat, one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. If one seeks cloth one month before the day of entering retreat, one commits a Dukkaṭa offense. Bhijayā Bārma said: If one holds it for more than half a month after the start of the retreat, one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. Otherwise, it is an offense. It is permitted to hold summer cloth for half a month after the start of the retreat. If one day passes beyond that, one also commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. If one seeks it beforehand, it is an offense. If one seeks cloth one month before the day of entering retreat, one commits a Dukkaṭa offense at the time of seeking. Two abbots have different explanations of light and heavy offenses. If it is determined, follow the last explanation. According to the Mūlasarvāstivāda Vinaya, if one seeks and obtains it, one commits a heavier Dukkaṭa offense, and one commits a Pacittiya offense, these are explained separately. Writing is because it is exhausted. If one seeks summer cloth one month beforehand and finds an old, bad cloth, one commits a lighter Dukkaṭa offense. Just as one enters retreat, one should follow afterwards. A bhikṣu can enter either of the two retreats, the other rituals are the same, sewing robes, and the ten qualities are obtained by the one who enters the first retreat. This is about the Nissaggiya Pacittiya of summer cloth. The Nissaggiya Pacittiya of summer cloth comes from the Vinaya-vibhaṅga Sutra. Now explaining about the long-term Nissaggiya Pacittiya. What is obtained for summer can be done. A bhikṣu, while staying in summer retreat, if a patron continuously offers wealth, one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense, how does one commit it? Explaining from the beginning: From the time of the retreat, one commits an offense. Possessing it during the summer. A bhikṣu, when entering summer retreat, if a patron continuously offers wealth, accepting it commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. Because of the long time, except for what is obtained in the last ten days. A bhikṣu, while staying in summer retreat, if a patron continuously offers wealth, it is not allowed to accept it, but if there are various conditions named by the path, even if one accepts it, there is no offense, such as a sick person offering it himself, or a dying person offering it himself, relatives offering it after death, or offering it because of war or a long journey. Recording it is also permissible. According to the Mūlasarvāstivāda Vinaya, if the offered wealth is distributed separately before the start of the retreat, one commits a Nissaggiya Pacittiya offense. It is also permissible not to distribute it.
