When a monk engaged in distributing bowls distributes the bowls, starting from the senior monk and going to the end, he should mention the venerable ones or their individual names, and say the words that will be said below. Clear, with bright colors, like a face. Of moderate size, suitable for dedication and good. Durable, a good bowl without breaks or cracks, is durable. If you want it, then take it. As said above, from the senior monk downwards, whoever wants it, take it, the monk engaged in distributing requests the Sangha. With truthful qualities. As said above, it is not saying good to a bowl without qualities, but truthfully and honestly stating the qualities of the bowl itself. Take it as you wish. A discarded bowl, from the senior monk downwards, if they believe they can exchange it with my bowl, then exchange it, my bowl is good, if they do not believe in exchanging, or are content, even if they do not exchange the bowl, there is no fault. One who has already taken it and one who is in between, do not ask. A soaked bowl, previously the senior monk said he did not want it and discarded it, after two or three people have passed, if he says he wants it and gives it, the senior monk has a fault, this is what Biśuta said. If the senior monk says my bowl is bad or I do not want it and discards it, and the one below me takes it, now I want to take it back, even if he takes it back, there is a fault, and there is also a fault when asking for it, this is what Bi Tsayavarma said. Do not give after two requests, if it exceeds that, it does not count. Like the above sutra, if the senior monk says he does not want it and discards it, and I want to ask for it back, do not give between two requests, give it when requesting for the third time. There is no fault in not giving, because the senior monk has great power, if he does not give, it will cause discord between the senior monk and the Sangha, so give it. When it appears "do not discard, do not dedicate", admonish. A bad bowl of the Sangha, when a monk discards it, it is not allowed to give it away, nor is it allowed to bless it with the mantra of my dedication, the Sangha admonishes that this is a bound bowl. When using it, slowly, slowly, until it is not broken. A bad bowl of the Sangha,

If a bowl is broken, the bhikkhu who has been given (the bowl) should protect it like his eyes, and use it until it can be used. How to use it will be described below. Use this (bowl) and also use these two. The old bowl given by the Sangha and the bowl offered by oneself are used for begging, etc., and in short, both are used. This should be placed in the best utensils. The old bowl of the Sangha, the container should also be placed well, placed in a stable place, and when taking out or putting in, be careful and not careless. Do very small things to it. When begging, put milk and flour, etc. that do not harm the bowl in the old bowl of the Sangha. When washing, also wash the Sangha's bowl with soft things first and wipe it dry. Sour things, etc. that harm the bowl, put them in the bowl offered by oneself. Do not eat there. Do not eat food in the old bowl of the Sangha, but put good food, and then take it out from your own old bowl to eat. Doing things in these ways is so that the old bowl of the Sangha does not break and can be used for a long time. This is the abandonment of seeking a bowl. The abandonment of seeking a bowl, that is, the sutra that appears from the Vinaya-vibhanga. From here onwards, the abandonment of weaving will be discussed. It is also the same to ask others to weave without compensation. If one takes cloth-like clothing material, whether one entrusts it oneself, or entrusts it to others to weave, if one has these four conditions, one will commit the offense of abandonment: not a relative, not a householder, is a weaver, and entrusts it without compensation, if one has these four conditions, one will commit abandonment. There is no offense in paying someone to weave. If one of these four conditions is missing, one commits a minor offense. Doing it together with others is not not doing it. If a bhikkhu entrusts a non-relative to weave cloth, and his own relative helps to complete it, he will also commit the offense of abandonment. This is the offense of weaving. The offense of abandoning weaving, that is, the sutra that appears from the Vinaya-vibhanga. The abandonment of weaving will be discussed below. Therefore, start from weaving. It is also an abandonment to entrust weaving for the sake of a śrāmaṇera and śrāmaṇerī.
