From... to the time of the Sangha assembly, this is the offering. How should the reason for the offering be stated? Those who have life, tomorrow I will offer a bowl without patches, please check your own bowls and offer them in the Sangha. This is the reason for the offering, and it should be stated in this way. To arrange for dwelling means to lay out mats and so on in the place where the Sangha gathers. To put into selection and offer means to arrange in the ranks of the Sangha and put into the selection. How should the reason for offering and putting into selection be stated? Venerable, this bowl is thin and round, if you need a bowl, please take it. The reason for offering should be stated in this way. Any kind of bowl is acceptable, how should it be stated? According to its merits. That is to say, it is not only the superior bowl that can be spoken of, but the merits of the bowl should be stated truthfully. If you need it, take it, which means if you need it when offering, take it. If it is designated, do not take it, which means if it is designated by one or two people, saying if you take it I will be willing, do not ask him for it. Do not give between two answers, which means if you ask like the above, do not give between two requests. If you ask three times, give it. For those who have fallen, admonish them not to discard it, nor to bless it, which means that finally, for the old bowl, when entrusting the bowl to the Bhikshu, when giving it, admonish them not to discard it, nor to bless it, and give it in this way. Be careful and cautious in using it until it is not damaged. That is to say, admonish them to use it carefully and cautiously in any way until it is not damaged. Both of these should be used, which means that when used for begging and so on, both of these should be used. This should be put into the selected good utensils, which means that the container for the bowl should also be put into a good container, etc., and offerings should be made. Do not put in things that will damage it, which will save labor, which means that if the things put in it are rough or hot, etc., that will damage it, do not put them in, and show it in this way. Also, do not put it on a plate, which means in it...

Do not be a matchmaker. Abandon seeking alms bowls. How does one abandon having someone weave? It is said to be entrusting without payment and having others weave as well. Without paying wages, having a non-relative weaver weave, or having a messenger weave, is also an offense. Some non-relative weavers weave together with relatives. Some weave together with renunciates, showing the completion of the offense, meaning even if others weave, it is not that he did not do it, meaning even if weaving together with others, the offense will be complete. Abandon having someone weave. Now, it is further showing the increasing aspects when weaving. Therefore, it says weaving, etc., meaning if a monk does as follows, it will be an offense. Having them make large cloths and good textiles, meaning if you have the weaver do this, it will be an offense. If it is the patron's price, it means that if the patron initially gives, whether it is thread or price, if it is added or exceeded, it will be an offense. Not giving wages means that if the monk does as agreed, but does not give the increased wages, it will be an offense. If the patron does it without being instructed, it means going to the weaver and saying to the monk, "Do as I like," or without instructing the weaver, going to the monk and doing as agreed, it will be an offense. When will the root offense be committed? It is said that completion is the root offense, meaning that when it is obtained, the completion of the offense is shown. Therefore, questioning, etc., is a misdeed, meaning that for exceeding the cushion, etc., therefore working hard, collecting, and showing it as one misdeed. Going there without restraint is also the same, meaning, "Your clothes are woven, go there." Without being called by the patron, because wanting good textiles, going there, even if not doing as agreed, it shows the same offense as before. Abandon increasing weaving. If a branch is robbed, what offense will be committed? It is said to be separating from the monk, etc., meaning from whom should it be robbed?
