It should be done accordingly. Another way to show it is: it can also be done after the request. Some Vinaya holders believe that the ordination ceremony should be performed after requesting the Khenpo, and then the hair and beard should be shaved, etc. In this way, the order of ordination and receiving vows is correct. Otherwise, if the vows are received first and the ordination ceremony is performed later, it is unreasonable. The Khenpo should entrust the person to be ordained to a Bhikshu who can give the novice vows. So, what should the entrusted Bhikshu do? He should ask, "Is he pure?" If he is pure, then perform the ceremony. That is, he should ask the entrusted person, "Does this person have any obstructing Dharmas?" If he answers "No," then he should give the novice vows. What is the vow that is given? That is the Acharya. That is, the Bhikshu who gives the novice vows is the novice's Acharya. For example, just as the Bhikshu who performs the ordination ceremony is the Khenpo. So, is the Acharya only temporary? No, he is the one who secretly teaches, acts, gives lodging, and recites. So, when does one become an Acharya? One becomes an Acharya when the task is completed. That is, when the five Acharyas mentioned above have completed their respective duties, then one becomes an Acharya at that time. Is the Khenpo also a Khenpo only after the task is completed? No, one becomes a Khenpo when one is requested to be a Khenpo and promises to do so. That is, it is not that one cannot become a Khenpo until one has become a novice or has received full ordination, but one becomes a Khenpo when one is requested to be a Khenpo and is appointed as a Khenpo or promises to do so. So, does one become an Acharya, etc., only after one's respective duties are completed? So, when can these things be completed? When the third part of the final precept is completed. That is, when the last part of the three recitations of the mantra of the novice ceremony is completed, the task is completed. In order to clearly demonstrate this, an example is given: when one proclaims to others, one becomes a novice. That is, in the process of giving the novice vows, when two-thirds are completed and one-third remains, the novice

Therefore, because it has been accomplished, the words of the mantra also say "monk," and at the end, the Acharya said, "Recite!" Therefore, just like that example, at that time, he also became an Acharya. If asked, is becoming a Khenpo also like that? Here it says that the last is the meaning of Khenpo, because when requesting a Khenpo, there are three proclamations to the other party, and at the time of the last proclamation, he promises to be the Khenpo, so he becomes the meaning of Khenpo. Therefore, from the mantra, one also requests the Khenpo to be the Khenpo, saying "ordination or full ordination," etc. In order to show that the accomplishment of giving residence and reciting is different from the previous ones. The end of giving residence is to stay for one night, because it is the place of dwelling, the Acharya stays for one night from dawn to evening, and if it becomes a residence, it shows that he has become an Acharya who gives residence. Recitation is learning one verse three times, because it is spoken from the mouth, if one recites and receives one verse from the mouth, it is also said to be an Acharya of recitation. However, in the treatises of the Matulpa region, it says that if one recites one verse three times from the mouth, he becomes an Acharya of recitation. Therefore, in order to make the third word appear important, it is said that way in the context of the sutra. If asked, how can one become an Acharya by reciting? If it is said not for the sake of reciting, it is not reciting, because it has not been recited before, and reciting specifically for the sake of learning is called reciting, for the sake of forgetting the meaning of words and questions, etc., asking someone and reciting, it shows that it is not reciting. When do Acharyas and Khenpos become, and how do they become, as shown in the previous section. Showing how those names are called is "other than those close words, it is not others," etc. A Khenpo is also called a Khenpo, not called "Elder" or "Long-lived," and the same is true for an Acharya. Saying "it is not said to others," means that other monks who are not Khenpos and Acharyas are not called Khenpos or Acharyas. As mentioned above, for Khenpos, the close word Khenpo is slightly known.
