Not abandoning is called freedom. If someone abandons and creates, they are overcome by freedom. If they abandon or take something like rotten things with a stealing mind, they will fall into defeat. If one steals property without a master, what will happen? Uncertainty is determined by the object. It means: like an object whose owner is uncertain, whether it exists or not, if one steals thinking it may or may not exist, then defeat and non-defeat are distinguished based on whether the owner exists or not. If asked: How to calculate the value mentioned? If the value of the place and time are not equal, what should be done? Answer: Calculate based on the value of the place and time of the theft. It means: where the theft took place and when it took place, calculate based on the value at that time. If an object that was not intended to be stolen comes into hand, what will happen? Answer: For the unintended, there is no fault. It means: like getting a Dharma robe while stealing, if it was not intended to be stolen, there is no fault. Thinking it is one's own, or similar, or making others aware with a trusting mind, it means: taking something thinking it is one's own, or taking it thinking it is similar or trustworthy, there is also no fault. But one should make others aware. Otherwise, if there is no stealing mind, it means: if it is not like the above three situations, and there is no stealing mind, taking another's property is also not a fault. Also, acting with the magic of compassion, it means: if based on compassion, using magic to take back property from a thief, etc., there is no fault. Action, that is, everything is a misdeed, it means: the initial preparation and beginning is a misdeed. If asked: In this section, why is the root offense a grave offense? Answer: If it is the root action of defeating others, it becomes a grave offense. Thus, thus, it means: after defeating others, if there is a remainder, then the root action of the remainder is also a grave offense of the remainder. If one falls into defeat by completing five mashakas, etc., if it is not complete, what will happen? Answer: If one steals an incomplete object, it means: if one steals an object whose value is not full, it becomes a grave offense. From here until reaching "with a compassionate mind, it is a misdeed," all are explanations of grave offenses. If stealing something that does not belong to the owner results in defeat, what will happen if one steals something without an owner? Answer: A treasure without an owner is also the same, it means: without an owner,

Stealing ownerless property results in a gross offense. The phrase "one's own as well" means: stealing one's own property results in a gross offense. The phrase "other continuums" means: not of the human continuum, stealing the property of other continuums results in a gross offense. Stealing with the intention of appropriating it results in a defeat. If separated from the owner, what happens if it is only a temporary action? The phrase "not appropriating it, but separating it by concealing, wasting, mortgaging, giving away, etc.," is also the same, meaning that performing actions like these also results in a gross offense. Separating with harmful intent results in a gross offense, so what happens if separating with compassion? It means that with compassion, a minor offense is committed. Starting to commit a defeat, but stopping and abandoning it midway, to show the hope that a gross offense will not be committed, it is said, "Even if remedied, it is not the same as not having committed it in the first place," meaning that stealing with the permission of a householder, and then regretting it later. Even if preventing a thief or driving flies into that house, because the initial offense has been lessened, a gross offense will be committed. The previous action is a gross offense. The action of the action is a minor offense, to explain this, it is said, "Before touching, it is the action of the action," meaning that for items prepared for stealing, before touching, it is the action of the action, which is a minor offense. Touching and possessing is the fundamental action, which is a gross offense. Therefore, according to the order of intention, there is the order of action, and according to the order of action, there is the order of downfall. Some scriptures say that getting up from the cushion counts as one action, but this is not the case, because some scriptures say that each action is a minor offense, such as "In a solitary place, each step," etc., meaning that if starting to think of stealing from a solitary place, then each step forward will result in a minor offense. The last step of going to a place where one cannot be seen is the fundamental action. To show the hope that one action will correspond to one downfall, it is said, "Each sentient being is like this," meaning that stealing, robbing, deceiving, delivering messages, etc., even if one action is completed, it will cause offense to sentient beings. If touching and possessing results in a gross offense, to eliminate the doubt that touching the rope of a boat and possessing it will result in a gross offense, it is said, "Untying the stake is not touching the boat," meaning that if not touching the boat, untying the rope
