Furthermore, it shows that for laypeople, saying baseless bad things, scolding, pointing out faults, sowing discord, slandering, using laypeople's bedding without permission, expelling laypeople, hitting and scolding them, threatening them, cutting off food, casting doubt, and doing things like "gaga tsil" will all become transgressions. If these are done to laypeople among non-humans, it will become a greater offense among greater offenses. Regarding "ordained objects are proper and up to standard," etc., it shows that the precepts established based on ordained objects will only change if the ordained objects are proper and up to standard; otherwise, they will not change. It shows that clothes made from drum wool, etc., that are separated from blessings, or holding such for more than ten days, causing a non-relative bhikshuni to fall, taking from there like this, burning silk wool and grass, etc., holding an untreated and uncooked bowl for more than ten days, and having it woven, engaging in verbal debate, giving and then snatching back, gold and silver needles, beds, etc., even if these are done, the offense will not be pacified. Regarding "for one's own purpose or with intention," etc., it shows that if it is not for one's own purpose, but for the sake of others, saying dirty words, praising servants, washing and having them grind, begging for clothes and searching for bowls, making silk wool cushions, etc., the offense will not be pacified. Regarding "when spoken, the meaning is understood," etc., it shows that the precepts established from verbal expression will only become offenses when the other person understands the meaning. For those who are sleeping, in meditative absorption, foolish, deaf, and those who do not understand the language, saying dirty words and intimidating, engaging in trade without marking, having them weave, pointing out faults, sowing discord, engaging in sad scolding, teaching the Dharma, reading, falsely dedicating, despising the precepts, engaging in divination and side divination, despising words, teaching the Dharma to bhikshunis, casting slander for a small amount of food, casting doubt, and speaking badly to those who show the precepts.

Even if one does such things, the transgression will not be absolved. Except for killing and stealing for oneself, it is said that one can speak. These two situations are such that even if one causes a foolish mute, who cannot speak, to do them, it will be a transgression. Other precepts that are established through speech will only become transgressions if they are done to someone who can speak. For a mute person, making unfounded accusations or engaging in marked profiteering, or doing business, or having them weave, or speaking ill and gossiping, or showing sorrow and weeping, displaying and reading, or speaking the Dharma of a lama who is inferior to a person, or falsely accusing them of making an evil offering, or disparaging the precepts, or performing divination and dividing lots, or teaching to nuns, and so on. 'Taking' means vowing, 'This is not for that,' meaning vowing, 'I will not do this.' Or, taking the precepts, good and bad will only arise if one can speak. If one cannot speak, they will not arise. This is to show that it is without purpose. 'Is a vessel' means that if one understands the meaning of the precepts that are to be spoken and is a vessel for speaking, then it will become a limb of speech. This has already been taught above, so why is it repeated? In reality, it is no different from the previous one, but the things that are said are not meaningless, and if something becomes a condition for speaking, then it will show that the transgression is absolved. This is also said in order to clearly distinguish the difference between stating and confessing. 'Words' means that the precepts that are to be spoken should be expressed in speech or words, not in writing or gestures, and then they will become limbs. Using writing or gestures to utter curses and praises, making unfounded accusations, making accusations, vomiting, taking, begging for clothes, having them weave, stealing, lying, calling out faults, gossiping, and so on. 'I' means that if it is my word that is spoken, then it will become a limb. If one speaks the curses and praises and so on that were mentioned above, then it will become a transgression. 'Possessing I' means saying that someone else said this, or listing the source separately, or if one does not mention oneself, the transgression will not be absolved. If one mentions oneself, then it will become a transgression, which is to list the source elsewhere.
