If one knows there is (life) and still violates (the precept), it becomes an offense. What kind of life, if known, would lead to an offense? "Seeing" means that if there are living beings killed by sight, then initially it becomes an offense. When does it become an offense? "Death" means that if those (beings) die, then initially it becomes an offense. Even if many beings die, is it only counted as one transgression? "Each being" means that even if one action causes many beings to die, one action will lead to multiple transgressions, and multiple actions causing many beings to die will be counted according to the number of actions and transgressions respectively. Using bodily implements is "using," meaning that everything used for the body's needs is considered usage. Showing its reality is: for example, washing, drinking, toothpicks, eating, washing hands, etc., meaning that these and others mentioned by name are shown to be implements of the body itself. Needing bodily implements also indicates bodily actions. Whatever is needed for implements is "using," meaning that those actions done for the sake of bodily implements also belong to the category of bodily actions. What are those bodily implements? Food, bowls, clothes, dwellings, toothpicks, and fire, etc., are all bodily implements. What is it that makes those bodily implements into implements? Soil, heavy objects, paints, and trees, etc., are those (implements), meaning that soil and trees, etc., mentioned by name, are shown to be implements of bodily implements. What is the need itself for those bodily implements? The need for those (implements) is, for example: laxatives, washing, cooking, planting, sweeping, cooking porridge, and making porridge, etc., meaning that water and so on are shown to be the need of the implements. Cutting off and releasing irrigation ditches is also (an offense), meaning that cutting off irrigation ditches and changing the water flow, even if life is blocked, one will be in violation according to how many lives are blocked. Putting in, transporting, and taking out wood and boats is also (an offense), meaning that putting wood and boats into the water, or transporting, or taking them out, if life dies, it will also be an offense. Bathing with hairy things other than lime is also (an offense).

It also shows that it is sinful to bathe with unclean coarse cloth, hairy cloth, etc. It also mixes with the water of most living beings, which means that most living beings are more sinful than bathing with unclean coarse cloth. Use with living things. (The following explanation is unclear, possibly referring to rituals that are not used with living things) Now I will explain the rituals that are not used with living things, such as from the subtle, which is "holding a wooden water filter", etc., which means that such a filter should be made. Showing its reality is: In order to place it on top of the container, nail three pieces of wood with iron nails, and hang a leaking water filter, which is "its", which means that the three pieces of wood are put together, and the filter is placed on it, and then poured into the water for filtering, which shows that this is the so-called wooden water filter. Put a filter in the water filter that allows the water to stay, which means that in order not to harm living beings and to clarify the water source, a filter must be put in the water filter. If you ask what the filter is made of? The answer is: Use sand or slag, which means use sand, cinder or slag to make it. The container is also, which means that a container can also be placed under the filter. If you ask what the container is made of? The answer is: Copper or tin can be used, which means that either of these two materials can be used. This is placed on three pieces of wood, which means that the container is placed on three pieces of wood. If you ask how to place it? The answer is: Pass through the gap, which means pass through the gap of the container. If you ask what to pass through? The answer is: The front is with thread, and the back is with smooth iron wire, which means that if it is a copper container, pass it through with thread, and if it is a tin container, pass it through with smooth iron wire. This holding means to prepare such a container on purpose. If the water does not flow out, press the filter repeatedly with a grass mat, which means that if the water cannot flow out, use this method. A tubular filter is better, which means that a tubular filter is both economical and good. This holding means that the tubular filter can also be held by people. If you ask what it is made of? The answer is: Copper or tin. If you ask what its shape is like? The answer is: Like a bottle, with mouths on the top and bottom, and holes like a lotus, which means that the shape is like a bottle.
