་འུ་གསིང་གི་གཞི་དག་ལ་ཡང་རྒན་རིམས་བཞིན་དུ་བསྐོ་བར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི། ཤིང་དྲུང་ལ་སོགས་པའི་གནས་མལ་གཞན་དག་ལ་ཡང་རྒན་རིམས་བཞིན་དུ་བསྐོ་བར་བྱ་བའོ། །གནས་ཁང་གིས་མི་ཆོག་ན་གཉིས་ལ་སོགས་པ་དག་ལ་ཐ་ན་དེའི་ས་གཞི་གདིང་བའི་ཚད་ཙམ་ཡང་ངོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི། གལ་ཏེ་དགེ་སློང་རེ་རེ་ལ་གནས་ཁང་རེ་རེ་བསྐོར་མི་ཆོག་ན་དེའི་ཚེ་དགེ་སློང་གཉིས་ལ་སོགས་པ་དག་ལ་གཅིག་ཐུན་མོང་དུ་བསྐོ་སྟེ། གཉིས་ལ་འམ་གསུམ་ལ་འམ་བཞི་ལ་འམ། དེ་དག་ལ་སོགས་པ་དག་ལ་གནས་ཁང་གཅིག་ཏུ་ཐུན་མོང་དུ་བསྐོ་བར་བྱའོ། །འོན་ཀྱང་མི་ཆོག་ན་དེའི་ཚེ་མཐའ་བསྟན་པའི་ཕྱིར། ཐ་ན་དེའི་ས་གཞི་གདིང་བའི་ཚད་ཙམ་མོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་སྨོས་ཏེ། གནས་ཁང་གིས་གཞིར་སྟན་གདིང་བའི་ཚད་དུ་ཙམ་ཤོང་བ་དེ་སྙེད་ཀྱི་དགེ་སློང་དག་ལ་གནས་ཁང་གཅིག་བསྐོ་བར་བྱའོ། །ལྷུང་བཟེད་དང་བྱ་མ་བུམ་དང་འདག་རྫས་དང་སོ་ཤིང་དང་སྨན་གྱི་གནས་ལ་ལྟོས་པར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི། གནས་ཁང་གཅིག་ཏུ་མལ་སྟན་གྱི་ཚད་དུ་ཤོང་པའི་དགེ་སློང་དེ་སྙེད་ལ་གནས་ཁང་གཅིག་ཐུན་མོང་དུ་བསྐོ་བར་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བསྟན་པ་དེ་ལ་གནས་ཁང་དེར་དགེ་སློང་དག་གི་ལྷུང་བཟེད་ལ་སོགས་པ་གཞག་པའི་གནས་ལ་ལྟོས་ཏེ་དེའི་ཕྱི་ན་མལ་སྟན་དུ་ཤོང་བ་དེ་སྙེད་ཀྱི་དགེ་སློང་དག་ལ་གནས་དེ་ཐུན་མོང་དུ་བསྐོ་བར་བྱའོ། །སྒོ་ཁང་དང་ཐེམ་སྐས་ཀྱི་ལྐོག་དང་ཁྱམས་དང་དཔོངས་དང་བཀད་ས་དང་བསྲོ་ཁང་གི་རབ་དག་ནི་བསྐོ་བར་མི་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི། མི་ཤོང་དུ་ཟིན་ཀྱང་འདི་དག་ནི་གང་ཟག་གི་གནས་ཁང་དུ་བསྐོ་བར་མི་བྱའོ། །ར་བ་ཞེས་བྱ་བའི་སྒྲས་ནི་དཔོངས་མན་ཆད་དང་སོ་སོར་སྦྱར་བར་བྱའོ།། འདིར་གཞུང་ནི་རྣམ་པར་འབྱེད་པ་ལས་དགེ་སློང་དག་གནས་དྲུག་པོ་འདི་དག་ནི་བསྐོ་བར་མི་བྱ་བ་དག་སྟེ། སྒོ་གང་ཐམས་ཅད་དང་ཐེམ་སྐས་ཀྱི་ལྐོག་དང༌། ཁྱམས་དང་དཔོང་སའི་ར་བ་དང༌། བཀད་སའི་རབ་དང༌། བསྲོ་ཁང་གི་ར་བ་དག་སྟེ། སྐོ་བར་བྱེད་ན་ཉེས་བྱས་སུ་འགྱུར་རོ་ཞེས་གསུངས་པ་ཡིན་ནོ། །མཚན་མོ་གནས་མལ་མི་བསྐོའོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི། གནས་ཁང་ཉི་ཚེར་མ་ཟད་ཀྱི། ཁྲི་ལ་སོགས་པ་གཞན་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་ཡང་དེ་བཞིན་ནོ། །ནད་པ་འདུག་པའི་གནས་ཁང་གཞན་ལ་མི་སྦྱིན་ནོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི། ནད་པ་འདུག་པའི་གནས་ཁང་གཞན་ལ་མི་སྦྱིན་པ་སྟེ། གནས་ཁང་ཞེས་སྨོས་པས་ནི་ཁྲི་ལ་སོགས་པ་གཅད་པར་བསྟན་ཏོ། །དེ་ཉིད་ཐོབ་པ་མེད་པ་ན་མི་སྦྱིན་པར་མི་བྱའོ་ཞེས་བྱ་བ་ནི། གནས་པ་དེ་ཉིད་ཀྱིས་ཐོབ་པ་གང་ཡིན་པ་དེ་ནི་དེ་ཉི

“于树根之基等亦如耆宿次第委任之”者，谓于树下等其他住处亦如耆宿次第委任之。“若房舍不充，于二等乃至彼之地基敷设之量亦可”者，谓若不能于一一比丘委任一一房舍，尔时可于二比丘等共同委任一，于二或于三或于四，于彼等共同委任一房舍。然若不充，尔时为显示边际故，说“乃至彼之地基敷设之量亦可”，谓房舍之地基仅能容纳坐垫之量，于尔许之比丘等委任一房舍。“应观待钵及净瓶与拭垢物、齿木及医药之位置”者，谓于一房舍中坐垫之量所容纳之尔许比丘共同委任一房舍，于所显示之彼，应观待彼房舍中比丘等之钵等放置之位置，于其外坐垫所容纳之尔许比丘等共同委任彼住处。“门房与梯之隐处及廊与楼与阶地与暖房之边际等不应委任”者，谓虽已不容纳，然此等不应委任为有情之房舍。“栏楯”之语，谓楼以下应与各自分别结合。 此处经文乃从分别中，比丘等此六处不应委任者，谓所有门及梯之隐处，廊与楼地之栏楯，阶地之边际，暖房之栏楯等，若委任则成恶作，如是宣说也。“夜晚不住处不委任”者，谓不仅房舍少许，于床等其他一切亦如是。“病人所住之房舍不施与他者”者，谓病人所住之房舍不施与他者，以说房舍故，显示遮止床等。“若无彼之获得，则不应不施与”者，谓住者彼自身所获得者，彼乃彼之。

"Also, to the base of tree roots, etc., assign in order of seniority," means that other dwellings such as under trees should also be assigned in order of seniority. "If the lodging is insufficient, even the space for laying out the ground for two, etc., is acceptable," means that if it is not possible to assign one lodging to each monk, then one lodging can be jointly assigned to two or more monks, to two or three or four, and one lodging can be jointly assigned to them. However, if it is insufficient, then to show the limit, it is said, "Even the space for laying out the ground is acceptable," meaning that the lodging space is only enough to accommodate the amount of cushions, and one lodging should be assigned to that many monks. "One should consider the placement of the bowl, water bottle, cleaning cloth, tooth stick, and medicine," means that one lodging is jointly assigned to as many monks as can be accommodated by the amount of cushions in one lodging. In what is shown there, one should consider the placement of the monks' bowls, etc., in that lodging, and that many monks who can be accommodated by the cushions outside of it should jointly assign that dwelling. "The gatehouse, the hidden place of the ladder, the corridor, the upper story, the terrace, and the edge of the warming room should not be assigned," means that even if it is already insufficient, these should not be assigned as dwellings for sentient beings. The word "railing" means that everything below the upper story should be combined separately. Here, the scripture is from the division, and these six places that monks should not be assigned are: all gates and the hidden place of the ladder, the railing of the corridor and the upper story, the edge of the terrace, and the railing of the warming room. If assigned, it becomes a misdeed, as it is said. "Nighttime lodging is not assigned," means that not only a small amount of lodging, but everything else such as beds is also the same. "The lodging where the sick person dwells is not given to others," means that the lodging where the sick person dwells is not given to others. By saying lodging, it shows the prohibition of beds, etc. "If there is no attainment of it, then it should not be withheld," means that what the dweller himself has attained is his.
