It is acceptable to use, so if you want, take it, he said. The term "Abiding One" is a Tibetan term for senior monks. The term "This bowl is very bright" means that the color is free of stains and very beautiful. The term "suitable shape" means that the size is up to standard. The term "acceptable to use" means that there are no defects such as holes or cracks. The term "if you want" means if you want to accept it. The term "take it" means take it away. Should this be said to all bowls? Therefore, it is said that it should be said according to merit. For which bowl has which merits, say those merits to it. Mentioning "very bright" etc. is for illustration. The term "accept if you want" means that if the monks want to accept that bowl, they should accept it, and if they don't want to, they should not accept it. The term "once accepted after being interrupted, it cannot be taken back" means that even if the most senior member of the Sangha, such as the Abiding One, is not accepted when the designated monk requests it himself, after one monk interrupts, the third monk below accepts the bowl, he cannot say "I want it" and take it back. Similarly, the scripture here says that if the third Abiding One accepts the bowl, and the Sangha's Abiding One wants to take it back, then it should not be given the first time it is said, nor should it be given the second time it is said, but it should be given the third time it is said. The Sangha's Abiding One should confess the sin of violating the precepts. It should be known that in the case of being interrupted by many people, it is even more impossible to take it back. The term "if someone wants it, it is not given the first two times, but not the third time" means that when it is accepted after being interrupted, if the monk above wants to take it back, then the bowl cannot be given the first two times. The term "not the third time" means that the monk distributing the bowl should not give it the third time.

That is the word. It should be understood that for the transgressor, one should not abandon, nor should one bless. That is to say, for the transgressing bhikkhu, one should not abandon what is unrelated to his bowl, nor should one bless it. Thus it is taught that when the bowl is abandoned and given to the transgressing bhikkhu, the appointed bhikkhu should make him understand the following two points: This bowl you should neither bless nor completely abandon. Because this bowl is related to being used by oneself after being blessed, and when it is completely abandoned, it is unrelated to showing autonomy, so you should also admonish him to use it from now until it is broken. For use, he should be admonished to use it slowly until it is broken. That is to say, for using that bowl, the appointed bhikkhu should thus admonish the transgressing bhikkhu: This thing unrelated to the bowl, use it slowly until it is broken, meaning to use it slightly and slowly. Here the scripture speaks of the ultimate limit until it is broken. He should use it in two ways, that is to say, the transgressing bhikkhu should use the blessed bowl and the bowl that is unrelated to the bowl. For it, the best utensils should be determined to be fitted, that is to say, for the thing unrelated to the bowl, the best and most exquisite bowl container and lid, etc., should be determined to be fitted. Thus it is taught that for the thing unrelated to the bowl, the best bowl container and other utensils should be determined to be fitted, but this is not the case for the blessed bowl. When using it, it should be the lightest, that is to say, when using it for begging alms, etc., the lightest of things such as flour should be determined to be fitted in the bowl that is unrelated to the bowl, and poured into it, while the heaviest should be determined to be fitted in the blessed bowl, and poured into it.

It has been explained that when engaging in something, if necessities such as food are prepared, it is called "very light work" because the bowl is not involved, and the other situation is called "very heavy work." "For the work of food itself, it should not be done" means that when completing the work of eating food, because the bowl is not involved, it should not be involved, meaning do not eat in it. It has been explained that one should not eat without a bowl. "Cleaning should also be done first" means that for the cleaning of dirt, etc., contaminated by food, it should first be done when the bowl is not involved, and then the work of the blessed part should be done. The abandonment of seeking a bowl has been explained. If excessive use of what will lead to the abandonment of being asked to weave? Therefore, it is said, "By hiring for free or having others weave," place it after the previously mentioned "non-relative householder." Thus, the meaning of the words here is: if a non-relative weaver is instructed verbally or has messengers or others weave, it will constitute a fundamental offense. Just as the Pratimoksha Sutra says, "doubt caused by oneself," but here, it should not be admitted that it was caused by oneself, because what is said there depends on the topic. If a bhikkhu raises doubts from a relative and then has a non-relative weaver weave, then for the person who raises the doubts, there is no offense, but having a non-relative weaver weave will constitute an abandonment offense. Therefore, here, raising doubts is not the root cause of the abandonment offense, but letting weaving is the cause. The matter of letting weaving is sometimes completed by a non-relative householder weaver, sometimes it is completed by relatives and non-relatives together, and sometimes it is completed by householders and renunciants together. Therefore, in order to prove that all of these will constitute a fundamental offense, it is said, "For those with others, it is impossible not to do this thing."
