It is said that "those without eggs should be destroyed" refers to the dwelling place of monks. This sutra has a specific exception, therefore it teaches thus: other than the dwelling place of monks, nests without doors should not be destroyed. The statement "those who do not reside there should not take a share of the robes" means that a monk who has not resided in a monastery during the rainy season should not take a share of the robes acquired by that monastery during the rainy season. It is taught thus: the summary is that one should not take the gains of robes from a monastery where a monk has not resided. Here, the scripture states that a monk who resides elsewhere during the rainy season should not take a separate share of the rainy season gains from elsewhere. Here, the mention of "rainy season" is representative, and similarly, it is forbidden to take other gains that one is not entitled to. Regarding "there is no fault in accepting from a thief with the mind of a benefactor," a thief is one who steals and robs. If one receives alms from a thief, robber, etc., with the thought that "this is a benefactor," there is no fault, because it is from the viewpoint that "this person is the owner of this object." Regarding "one should not accept from a thief whose source is suspected of being stolen," that is, one who is both suspected of being stolen and is a thief, therefore, a thief whose source is suspected of being stolen. It should be added that one should not accept robes and other gains, as well as the alms bowl, from a thief whose source is suspected of being stolen. One should know that a thief who is not considered a thief is a thief whose source is suspected of being stolen. Thus, from a place where one is not considered a thief, the source of robes and other items is unknown, because that source has become suspected of being stolen, because it has an imperceptible nature, which is the summary. Apart from a thief, there is another hidden person whose source is suspected of being stolen, who is a person whose source is suspected of being stolen, and that person whose source is suspected of being stolen is also a thief. Thus, the Blessed One said to those who are to be tamed, one should not accept robes from a thief whose source is suspected of being stolen.

The reason for saying "such words should not be interpreted" is that here it is said "not known by the guide," so there will be no fault of repetition. Thus, the meaning of the words here arises as follows: one should not take robes and other things from a thief with stealing means, but should take them from someone from whom robes and other things come, who is widely known in the world. Robes and other things that come from someone who is widely known are widely known in the world, and not from others. What is taken from that (widely known person) should be cut with weapons and made to have a bad color before being held, meaning that the robes and other things taken from that widely known person should be cut with weapons such as knives, for example, cutting off the edges and tassels, and making the color bad by changing the color, etc. After doing these things, it should be sewn and held, that is its summary. Even if that is done, if someone asks for it, it should be given, meaning that even if it is cut with weapons and made to have a bad color, if the previous owner says, "This is my thing, it was taken by a famous thief before, please return it to me," then the monk should give it. Here it is explained that if the owner of the stolen thing says, "This is mine," then the thing should be returned to him, that is its summary. Regarding "should be measured with a key," here "should be measured with a key" refers to harming in a crooked and distorted way, which should not be done to anyone, that is its summary. In order for the venerable Spong Byed to be able to endure, the lay people had the venerable Ananda collect many boys and girls, for example, observing who was doing evil, which seems to be applied to all situations, so it is effective for all situations. This can also be applied to taking without giving, because giving and giving through key measurement becomes stealing. There is no fault in giving through secret mantras, meaning that there is no fault in giving away things stolen by others through pure thoughts similar to supernatural powers. It is the same when a mouse takes something away and the owner takes it back, meaning that if the monk is the recipient, and his things are taken away by a mouse, taking it back
