It is because of its richness and because it appears as desirable like a sweet taste that the Dharma is sweet. To listen to it is for the sake of listening. One who is extremely skilled in teaching the limbs of enlightenment should be recognized as skilled here. Intelligent means having the ability to quickly and completely understand. Goodness means being proficient in speaking words that lead to understanding. The term "able" is a Tibetan word here. "Knowing the taste" means experiencing the taste individually through the limbs of enlightenment. "Severe" means becoming extremely intense. Because he is the one who completely teaches all Dharmas, he is the owner of the Dharma. Even the noble Shariputra, who is highly praised, went to listen to the Dharma spoken by the noble Great Joy, that is, he gained the power of the Dharma. "Knowing the lineage and non-lineage" means being proficient in the characteristics of the Dharma. The mind that knows the teachings is the mind that understands and conforms. Immediately after hearing, one will obtain the joy of entanglement, but here it is not dependent on the qualities of desire, so it is the joy without entanglement. The mind with joy preceding it, which is the characteristic of being workable, will give rise to a mind that is extremely subdued, and immediately after being extremely subdued, it will become blissful, and the mind that relies on bliss will give rise to single-pointed concentration. One should know that conditioned things are a refuge. The reason for saying "one should know that conditioned things are a refuge" is that yogis develop aversion to all conditioned phenomena, knowing that those thoughts are not for the sake of refuge, and for the sake of completely protecting from suffering, the meaning of refuge is taught, because all conditioned things are the cause of all suffering. If sentient beings are without attachment, they will be liberated from the bonds of affliction. "After being disgusted" shows the benefit. "Nirvana" means entering the realm of Nirvana with remainder. If one asks what one has done, one says "after being disgusted" and so on, that is, from wandering in existence, that is, from the way of existence, aversion arises. From aversion, gods and humans

There is no attachment to phenomena, and there will be no bondage. Like fire, wherever there is a flame, that is where there is fire with a flame. Its meaning is this: Just as fire is extinguished when it burns up firewood, so too, when the cause of all afflictions is completely exhausted, the Arhat will be completely liberated from suffering. Regarding the matter of "placing the head towards the north," why did the Blessed One command that the head be placed towards the north when he was completely liberated from suffering? To this, the Blessed One said: 'After I am completely liberated from suffering, I will attain enlightenment in the northern region, and through meditation and recitation, my teachings will be greatly propagated.' This indicates this. 'Very quickly' means very fast. 'Very' is repeated twice here out of respect. By clearly revealing what should be done and what should not be done, the Blessed One became the eye of the world, and therefore it is said that the eye has disappeared. 'From here to there' refers to the direction without mentioning the name. The profound among the profound, and the profound and extremely profound. Enjoyment means experiencing through knowledge. 'Solely' means that in cutting off afflictions, there is no need to rely on friends. 'Do not grieve' means do not generate sorrow arising from separation from suffering. 'Do not be weary' means do not let the body be weary from these causes. 'Do not cry' means do not utter verbal lamentations either. 'Close' means being respected. 'By what means?' mentions loving-kindness and so on. Physical actions arising from a friend are loving-kindness, which is through the means of the friend himself. 'Benefit' refers to the thought that is beneficial to oneself, which is through seeking virtue, not through attachment to material things. 'Happiness' means feeling happy by thinking about how the Blessed One will be happy through my service. 'Non-duality' refers to the same way, that is, through the great moment of writing and later becoming medicine.
