Entering. People who are not accustomed to solitude mostly think of ordination as a cliff. This is what is said. However, it is difficult for those who have great worldly affairs, such as the Shakya king Shakyamuni Holy Goodness, to renounce. How is it difficult for those who have small worldly affairs to renounce? Indeed, it is so, but because it is the cause of being particularly attached to secular affairs, it is also difficult for those people to completely abandon their families. Therefore, the Blessed One also used the example of poor people, and the Sutra Pitaka says: Those who are bound by the bonds of which families cannot abandon those bonds of families and cannot renounce, etc. This is what is taught. The second is to show the reason for the difficulty. After ordination, it is difficult for those who enjoy sensual pleasures to attain purity. This is what is said, it is difficult to attain joy after ordination. This is how it is connected. After ordination, it means after obtaining ordination. It is difficult to attain joy after obtaining ordination, who are they? Those who enjoy sensual pleasures, this is what is said. It refers to those who often enjoy the five sensual pleasures of form, sound, smell, taste, and touch. What is difficult for those people to obtain? Therefore, it is said that it is difficult to obtain joy. This is what is said, it refers to guarding the precepts spoken by the Blessed One, and it is difficult to obtain supreme joy in the Sangha. This is a summary word, because from beginningless time, one is accustomed to experiencing the happiness of afflictions, so it is difficult to obtain the experience of non-afflictive happiness. It is also said like this: People excessively enjoy desires, and if they remember those after ordination, the suffering caused by greed, and the inner torment, they will obtain suffering. This is what is said. The third is to show the reason for the difficulty. Even if there is supreme joy, it is difficult to truly generate meaning and correctly distinguish it. This is what is said, even if there is supreme joy, it is difficult to act correctly. Supreme joy refers to guarding the precepts spoken by the Blessed One, even if there is already supreme joy in the Sangha.

is difficult. What is the right action? Therefore, one should generate benefits accordingly. This is what is said. "As it is" refers to Nirvana, because it is the ultimate virtue. Liberation is the ultimate virtue, that is what is said. To generate it is to obtain it. What is that? Therefore, it is said, "right action." In the right and non-inverted way, guarding the precepts as they are spoken, looking at even the slightest faults as if they were fearful, and following them with such characteristics, what is that? This is also added to the word "difficult." For example: A monk who abides in the precepts, guards the senses, also knows the measure of food, is devoted to not sleeping, and is diligent day and night, abiding in this way, will not completely degenerate and will be close to Nirvana. This is what is said. In order to show the fourth difficulty, it is difficult for a wise person who wears rags to fall from the precepts. This is what is said. It is also difficult for a wise person who wears Dharma robes and rags to fall from the precepts, this is to be added. Wearing rags refers to wearing clothes dyed in the color of rags. A wise person refers to someone who has wisdom. Falling from the precepts refers to falling from the training or falling by falling. This is also added to the word "difficult." It is difficult for a wise person to transgress the training of the Thus-Gone One (Sanskrit: Tathāgata, Romanized Sanskrit: Tathāgata, Literal Chinese meaning: Thus Come One), and there are some sons of good families who are happy to learn, who will not transgress these trainings even for their own lives, that is what is said. Just like this: Those who have virtues like the mother of the river, those who follow with power, those who are very fond of the noble mother, just as they do not abandon for the sake of life and happiness, even if they abide in suffering, they will not abandon their vows. This is what is said. It is shown in this way: Giving up great or small household affairs, and first of all, promising to renounce is also difficult. After renouncing, it is also difficult to generate joy in the Dharma. Even if there is joy, it is also difficult to protect the precepts and practice accordingly. Knowing what to take and what to abandon
