English

They are praised for being liberated from their respective faults and attaining liberation. Among them, "In all things, restraint is good" means that if restraining one thing is good, then what need is there to mention restraining all things? The rest is easy to understand and will not be explained. Among them, "For those who have entered, instructing the method of not losing mindfulness" means: Guard your speech, subdue well with your mind, do not commit unwholesome deeds with your body, and completely abandon these three paths of action, then you will attain the path spoken by the righteous ones. That is to say, among them, "guard your speech" means that when a talking nun talks about a topic, the fault is dealt with according to the Dharma. "Subdue well with your mind" means to subdue the faults of the mind, and do not be angry even if others harm you. "Do not commit unwholesome deeds with your body" means not going to the five places where one should not go, that is, not going to the king's palace, places where alcohol is sold, places where one lives by appearance, places of musicians, and homes of bad castes, and not accepting unexamined alms food, and not causing harm to others with the body. Among the "three paths of action," action is formation, that is, thought. This thought is also dominated by and manifests as three things: greed, malice, and wrong view. Therefore, these three are called the paths of action. The seven actions of body and speech, such as killing, are also actions, and the thought that arises and produces these actions also depends on and enters into these actions, so it is also the path of action. "Completely abandon" means having protection against them. "Righteous one" is as previously stated. It is said to the Tathagatas. "Path" refers to the noble path, and it is also because it can be attained by practicing these three paths of action.

Napo, the supreme protector. The seven heroic Buddhas, the renowned ones, each attained liberation. This is explained in great detail. It is said that this is a true collection. To prevent future people from not knowing which teachings of the seven Buddhas mentioned earlier are, it is said. The teachings of the seven Buddhas have been mentioned earlier, and this is the concluding remark that these seven teachers are to be matched in order. Among them, the names of the six Buddhas are arranged as they appear from elsewhere. The name Shakyamuni refers to when Prince Siddhartha was born in Lumbini Garden, placed on a bed made of four precious jewels, surrounded and attended by many people and gods, and went to Kapilavastu. The Shakyas were arrogant, harsh, and fearless. When the prince went to the city, he was able to overcome them. King Suddhodana named the prince Shakyamuni because he was able to overcome the Shakyas. Or, because his body and speech are victorious, he is called "Victorious." The name Gautama is derived from the sound "Go," which has many meanings such as words, directions, land, light, vajra, cow, and high places, but here it refers to the lineage. The name "God of Gods" refers to the fact that there are two kinds of gods: pure gods and gods of life. Among them, all Buddhas are called pure gods because they have renounced the world. Others are called gods of life because they are born. Among the pure gods, the Tathagata Shakyamuni is called the God of Gods because he tames the difficult to tame during the five degenerations, when sentient beings, lifespan, time, afflictions, and views are turbulent. Or, when he was born in his mother's womb, all the gods of the world prostrated to him, so he is called the God of Gods. Furthermore, the name "God of Gods" refers to the god of the Shakyas, a yaksha named Shakya Skya. No matter who in the Shakya clan, if a son or daughter is born, they should first pay homage to the yaksha Shakya Skya.

They are led to bow at his feet. When Prince Siddhartha (rnam rgyal bu don grub) was born, King Śuddhodana (rgyal po zas gtsang ma) also instructed the ministers, saying, 'Today, let this young man bow to the feet of the Yaksha Śākya-vardhana (gnod sbyin shākya skyed pa'i rkang pha).' The ministers also led him before Śākya-vardhana in the same way. Then, when Yaksha Śākya-vardhana saw the Bodhisattva from afar, he quickly went forward and bowed at the Bodhisattva's feet. Then, King Śuddhodana said, 'Since Yaksha Śākya-vardhana also bowed to the feet of this young man, he is the god among gods. Let this young man be named 'God of Gods' (lha'i lha).' This was for the purpose of naming him. Among them, 'The unsurpassed tamer of beings,' means: Although the Tathāgatas also take hold of beings in the lower realms in order to tame them, the body of the lower realm itself cannot become a vessel for the truth of the noble ones. Therefore, it is not said that they are tamed, but it is shown that humans are the place where the truth of the noble ones is contained, so it is said that humans are tamed. How does one tame and guide them? Those who are very angry, like Aṅgulimāla (sor mo'i phreng ba), those who are very attached, like Nanda (dga' bo), and those who are very ignorant, like Utpalavarṇā (lteng rgyas) and Kāśyapa (‘od srungs), these beings who are difficult to tame, like wild horses, are tamed gently if they are suitable to be tamed gently, tamed harshly if they are suitable to be tamed harshly, and tamed with both if they are suitable to be tamed with both. Having tamed them skillfully and easily in accordance with the methods, they are guided and placed in the supreme state of accomplishment, the state of nirvāṇa, therefore it is called 'The unsurpassed tamer of beings.' 'Unsurpassed' means because there is nothing higher. 'Protector of the world, supreme savior,' means: Although Indra and Brahmā and others are protectors and saviors of the world, the Tathāgatas save beings from the three lower realms and place them in the state of nirvāṇa, so to show this difference, they are called 'supreme savior.' 'The seven Buddha lions,' means: Because they have conquered the seven and four things, such as Vipaśyin (rnam par gzigs). By the famous ones, individually...
