Because doing so also harms the bodies of others, demonstrating the practice of painful asceticism, therefore, because it is an act of harming others, it is shown as being called a "Shramana." This indicates a tendency to show it to others. Those with strength, talent, and eyesight, like avoiding dangerous cliffs. The wise in this world full of livelihood, should completely abandon evil. This verse was spoken by the Buddha with the crown, at that time people all prayed to be reborn in the heavens, in order to counter this wish, the Buddha spoke this verse. The first two lines are metaphors. The so-called "having strength and eyesight" means that a person with complete strength and eyesight will avoid cliffs and dangerous places and embark on the right path. "The wise in this world full of livelihood, should completely abandon evil" this verse, like the remaining metaphors, shows that a wise person, because he understands that the enjoyments of livelihood in the world are evil, should completely abandon them. Do not slander, do not harm others, restrain yourself with the Pratimoksha vows, also understand the proper amount of food, live in a remote place, and correctly enter into higher mind. This is the teaching of the Buddha. Spoken by the Buddha of all protection, at that time people thought that it was enough to just keep the precepts, in order to counter those who slander those who break the precepts and give rise to evil thoughts, the Buddha spoke this verse. Among them, "do not slander" means that you should avoid slandering others with words, and abandon the basis of verbal faults such as lying. "Do not harm others" means that you should not give rise to malice, etc., and abandon the three faults of mind. "Restrain yourself with the Pratimoksha vows" means that you should restrain yourself like the Pratimoksha vows, so as to obtain the fruit of a Shramana. Understanding the proper amount of food, etc., is to show that you should practice correctly. Among them, understanding the proper amount of food means that understanding the amount of food keeps the body balanced and not heavy, and keeps the mind from being dull and avoids sleep. Living in a remote place means that it is not enough to just understand the proper amount of food, in order to tame the body and mind, you should live in a quiet place. "Correctly entering into higher mind" means that, as mentioned above, it is not enough to just have the body in a quiet place, you must tame all the afflictions.

Therefore, one should strive to abide in meditative concentration. The so-called Buddha's teachings are what all the Buddhas have said, and one should practice as before. Just as a bee from a flower, without harming its color and fragrance, extracts the nectar and flies away, so does the Victorious One wander in villages. Spoken by the Buddha Logpar Dangser (Tibetan name), at that time people were attached to gain and respect, harming both discipline and mind, so this verse was taught as a remedy. Among them, the root and the remaining three are metaphors, the bee is a monk, the flower and color are discipline, and the fragrance is meditative concentration. Just as a bee extracts the fragrance of a flower and flies away, so should a monk abandon gain and respect, without harming both discipline and mind, wander in villages, and accept alms. One should examine one's own lineage and non-lineage, not the discord of others, and what others have done and not done. Spoken by the Buddha Vajra Muni, at that time people were fond of engaging in non-noble activities, so this verse was taught as a remedy. So, what is bad conduct? It is not observing one's own faults, but speaking of the faults of others, and even if someone asks about the Dharma, saying that it is not a place of Dharma, and not acting in accordance with them. Among them, the first two and a half lines say that one should examine one's own faults. The last two and two-thirds lines say not to examine. Among them, discord means that when others ask about the Dharma, one does not give corresponding teachings, which indicates that it will hinder the enjoyment of hearing. One should guard the higher mind, train in the places of the Muni, always be mindful and near peace, the protector does not transcend suffering. Giving increases merit, taming prevents enemies from arising, possessing virtue and abandoning evil, the exhaustion of afflictions is nirvana. Spoken by the Buddha Light Protector, at that time people were attached to worldly happiness, so these two verses were taught as a remedy. Among them, the higher mind means abandoning the delicious bliss of meditative concentration, and...
