The two verses in between praise individual liberation through the means of high fruition. From the depths of bad rebirths in samsara, this is the ship of salvation. Here, "bad rebirths" also refers to samsara in general, but specifically to the deep abyss of bad destinies. Thus, samsara is as deep as an ocean of afflictions, and this individual liberation is the very ship of salvation. How so? By abiding in individual liberation and cultivating meditation that accords with the truth, one will transcend the faults of samsara. This leads to good rebirths, and is undoubtedly a ladder and a bridge. For example, just as the steps and bridge of a footbridge across a river, this individual liberation is the steps and bridge to go to higher realms. This is the path that defeats afflictions, the supreme guide for a king. For example, when a king enters a chariot to fight enemies, just like the driver of the chariot, the driver of the noble ones, like the driver who subdues the enemy of afflictions, is also this individual liberation. This is the entrance to the city of liberation, abiding like the foundation of a staircase. For example, if one wants to enter a great building in a city surrounded by layers of walls, one cannot climb other steps without relying on the last step of the ladder. Similarly, if one wants to enter the high mansion of the great city of Nirvana, one cannot climb the ladder of the four truths without relying on the step of individual liberation. Therefore, this individual liberation is like the foundation of a ladder. Up to this point, although not directly attained, it is called the unseen fruit because it becomes the cause for future attainment. "I have attained Nirvana," from this point onwards, up to "praise of direct experience," one verse is a praise like that of the teacher himself. I have attained Nirvana, this too you proclaim, the self-born one also diligently, praises the monks' direct experience. The sound called Buddha, is also extremely rare in the world. The path of accumulation with its fruits is also threefold: the path of accumulation is rare, the path of accumulation is found, and having found the path of accumulation, one practices diligently. From here onwards, two verses are the fruit of the path of accumulation.

and others. It explains the rarity of other practices. It is rare for a Buddha to appear, rare to teach the Dharma, rare to abide in the teaching of the Dharma, rare to follow the teaching of the Dharma, and rare to have compassion for others. The so-called path of accumulation is the thirteen foundations for attaining the path of application and the path of purification: the prosperity of others, one's own prosperity, the desire for virtuous Dharma, guarding the gate of discipline, guarding the senses, knowing the measure of food, practicing without sleeping in the upper and lower parts of the night, acting with mindfulness, relying on virtuous spiritual friends, listening to the holy Dharma, being without obstacles, increasing generosity, and the adornment of asceticism. It is extremely difficult to obtain a human body, and it is extremely rare to renounce. The explanation of one's own prosperity also has five aspects: becoming a human, being born in a central region, having complete faculties, having faith in the place, and not having committed inverted actions. Relying on the desire for virtuous Dharma, similarly for those who have renounced, it explains the four ways of guarding discipline and guarding the senses. There are six aspects to guarding discipline: classification, summarization, perfection, nomenclature, purification, and benefits. Perfection of discipline is rare, and even if discipline is completely pure, good friends are extremely difficult to obtain. Relying on virtuous spiritual friends, listening to and contemplating the holy Dharma, being without obstacles, increasing generosity, and the so-called adornment of asceticism. The appearance of a Buddha in the world, etc., from here onwards, it explains the attainment of the path of accumulation with one verse. Humans and renunciates, as well as perfection of discipline, good friends are difficult to obtain, and having obtained them, one should cherish them well for the wise. From here onwards, it explains that after attaining the path of accumulation, one should be diligent. Having the characteristics of the wise, that is, the actions of the body are virtuous, the actions of speech are virtuous, and the actions of the mind are virtuous. Those who wish to accomplish the fruit, the path of accumulation is with the fruit, that is, the path of application and the path of purification. The path of application is the four parts of the decisive division. The path of purification refers to the path of seeing and the ultimate path of cultivation.
