Because it is of the nature of decay, because there is nothing that does not decay after being born, it should be abandoned. Whatever has come into being should also be abandoned. Why is it that what has become free from disease is also properly and completely protected? Because it is of the nature of disease, because the end of all freedom from disease is also disease, according to this statement. Whatever arises should also be abandoned. Why is it that the son of man is not abandoned by anyone? Because it is of the nature of death, if it were not proper to die after being born, it would not be so. Whatever is fabricated should also be abandoned. Why is it that pots and the like are made and then taken? Because it is of the nature of delusion, whatever is produced by another is certain to perish, like an artificial jewel. Whatever is compounded should be abandoned. Why is it that what is necessarily present should not be abandoned? Because it relies on the mind, like a mother, it will also be completely destroyed, so it should be excluded. If what becomes very pleasing is not abandoned, is that not contrary to reason? What is unstable should also not be abandoned, why? Because it arises merely from food. For example, a monkey has sharp fire eyes and mostly moves around for the sake of food, like this unstable thing, the wise should abandon. Similarly, compounded things will exist if there is food, otherwise not. Do not rejoice in this perishable thing. This means that it is not proper to seek and approach compounded objects in this way. Because one should seek with three distinctions: because of permanence, because of no aging and death, and because of no dependence on others. Among them, what does not appear here is the first half. Because aging and death have completely destroyed, the remainder is shown. Its necessary arising means realizing the cause of the three characteristics, therefore it is inconceivable and non-discriminating, because it is self-awareness. Or, if one desires the complete permanence of the world, one will enter into action, and where one desires it, that action is not like this, non-discrimination is discrimination and

It is not so, as shown in the Sutra. If asked, "Isn't this like a rabbit's horn?" The answer is, "The term 'basis' is mentioned because things exist. Because the suffering dharmas are extinguished." The phrase "because the suffering dharmas are extinguished" means that if one obtains the five aggregates of grasping, they will be extinguished. Even the unconditioned, undefiled formations are extinguished there, to show that it is not merely the exhaustion of the five aggregates of grasping. Formations are near to peace. Therefore, it is said to be bliss, because it is the way to be free from its suffering, like the words, "Nirvana is the supreme bliss." Do not rejoice in this destructible thing. This phrase follows here. Because by proclaiming the qualities, it is to generate desire in the six objects, and to accomplish and do that. It is also said that although it is true and equal, impurity and so on should be abandoned. But one should not understand it as one understands jewels and so on. The nature of samsara and nirvana is also like that. To show that the cause of suffering is samsara, but not bliss itself. O monks, and so on. The Blessed One was dwelling in a solitary place, teaching the monks about talks that were fully in accordance with nirvana. Then, those monks thought to themselves, "What is it like?" Knowing their thoughts, he spoke these words: "Completely liberated from all suffering." Up to that phrase. All things are manifestly present and known like an Emblic myrobalan placed in the palm of one's hand, because one possesses the knowledge of cessation and so on. If so, who has taught with faith? The word "I" refers to showing oneself. O monks, you also show that abandoning the household life is directly realized. The phrase "its place" refers to its basis or support. The phrase "wherever" means in whatever place. The phrase "will not abide on the earth" means that from then on there is no connection with the earth, and one does not abide on the basis, because that is unconditioned. The phrase "not in water" means not in water. The phrase "not in fire" means also in fire itself. The phrase "not in wind" also refers to wind. This refers to desire.

And it shows that it does not belong to the realm of form. Because here there are those that bring benefit and harm, such as garlands of flowers and sandalwood, and poison and thorns, etc., they exist in these ways. These also exist in these two realms. If so, does it belong to the formless realm? The sphere of infinite space, etc., is mentioned. Because the non-Buddhists regard the bodiless, etc., as the perception of liberation. If so, is it included in the two worlds? It is mentioned that it is neither in this world nor in the other world, etc. Because these two are the nature of the three realms mentioned below, therefore, by negating it, it is established that this is also negated. It does not dwell in the sun and moon, which means that it is not included in them either. Therefore, those with more dust and free from desire will enter the mandala of the sun; those with more darkness will enter the mandala of the moon. This is to refute the heretics. It does not abide, which means that it does not abide in any direction. It will not distinguish the past and the future, because the formless dharma does not abide in a place, it does not abide in a direction. If the mind and mental factors are also single and have an object, then, it is mentioned that "this has no object," and the words are connected to say "this has no object." This is not controlled by this, or rather, just as ordinary people focus on form, etc., so it is done in the same way. Monks, I do not say that there is coming to that, which means that if one enters nirvana, I do not say it. Because it is completely related to the past, and there is no return from nirvana. To show that very point, it is mentioned that "there is no going," meaning "gone." Therefore, this has no reason for entering beforehand. This shows the intermediate state, without the existence of the previous time. Not abiding refers to the state of abiding. I do not say that there is death and transference.
