Therefore, subduing oneself is the most excellent. Whoever subdues himself well and possesses mindfulness, he can reach the end of suffering. Those vehicles cannot realize that state. Like a great elephant among elephants, a well-trained horse from the Indus, and whoever tames mules, therefore, subduing oneself is the most excellent. Whoever subdues himself well and possesses mindfulness, he can abandon all sentient beings. Those vehicles cannot realize that state. Like a great elephant among elephants, a well-trained horse from the Indus, and whoever tames mules. Therefore, subduing oneself is the most excellent. Whoever subdues himself well can cut the bonds and depart. Those vehicles cannot realize that state. Like a trainer trains a good horse, one should tame only oneself. By well taming oneself, one can reach the far shore of all sufferings. Oneself is the only protector of oneself, oneself is one's own refuge. Like a trainer trains a good horse, therefore one should tame oneself. The nineteenth chapter on horses is complete. If one has abandoned anger and pride, then one can completely transcend all bonds. If one has no attachment to name and form, because one has nothing, one will not fall into the trap of desire. Abandon anger as soon as you are born. After being born, you should abandon desire. Abandon ignorance with steadfastness. If you see the truth, you will be happy. If you abandon anger, you will sleep peacefully. If you abandon anger, you will have no suffering. Bhikshus! Anger is the root of poison that destroys happiness. Cut it off! You will be praised by the noble ones. Because you have destroyed it, you will have no sorrow. If one is angry, one thinks that one has done good deeds, but the wise say that one has not done good deeds. After the anger has subsided, one will feel the heat as if burned by fire. Those who have no shame and no embarrassment, those who are full of anger, have no ascetic practices. Those who are overwhelmed by anger, no one relies on them. Whoever has the power of a child, his power is actually powerless. For a child who is far from the Dharma, there is something to be accomplished, but it is only a vain hope. Whoever has power, but can tolerate the weak, he is said to be the best of patience. One should always be humble to the weak. Whoever has become the master of others,

Patience of the weak is called the ultimate patience. Like the weak always bow down, even if others obstruct them even more. If the powerful can be patient, that is called the ultimate patience. Like the weak always bow down, even if others humiliate them even more. If the powerful can be patient, that is called the ultimate patience. Like the weak always bow down. If someone notices that others are angry, and immediately calms themselves down, this can save them from great fears of themselves and others. If someone notices that others are angry, and immediately calms themselves down, this is practicing the benefit of themselves and others. For oneself and others, practicing the benefit of both, people who are not proficient in Dharma, even if they think this is a childish behavior, it is easy to understand. Because of fear of the master's words, they endure, because of fear of the wife's words, they endure quarrels, for the words of the weak they can endure, the saints will praise this as the ultimate patience. Children get angry and say harsh words, thinking that they will win, if someone can endure these words, then he is the eternal winner. One should speak truthfully and not be angry, even if the beggar asks for little, one should give. By abiding in these three ways, one can go to the realm of the gods. A person overwhelmed by the power of anger cannot even understand his own benefit, so in the crowd one should be cautious and speak words without anger. If someone gets angry at an angry person, then he will become a sinner, so do not get angry at an angry person again, so you can win the difficult battle to win. Overcome anger with non-anger, overcome non-good with good, overcome stinginess with generosity, overcome untruth with truth. Living with taming and reason, and without anger is the key. The wise who are liberated by correct wisdom have no anger. Without anger and without harm, even noble people always associate with, but the anger of sinful people will bend like a mountain. If someone can control themselves when anger arises, like controlling a runaway chariot, I say he is the tamer, and the one who puts a rope on (the horse) is just an ordinary person. This is the twentieth chapter on anger. Summary: Includes the path of ascetics, respect, and resentment, the fifth is mindfulness.
