Abandoning that is abandoning it. The undefiled discipline is also the same. Through actions and vows, one obtains the status of a hunter. The cause of cessation is properly upholding the discipline, as well as the birth of a hermaphrodite, death, and the attainment of the Dharma nature, and the attainment of a virtuous mind that practices in the realm of form. The reason for not obtaining the non-revealing form is: with the power of afflictions and strong faith, performing actions such as punching and kicking; and in any case, without making a mandala to the Bhagavan, not eating meat, etc., holding vows; and offering temples, etc. The cause of cessation is abandoning those things that are begged for. This manifold non-revealing form, and the five faculties such as the eye, are the objects of consciousness, and these are the objects of form. Its characteristics are threefold: the self-common characteristic, the directional common characteristic, and the exhaustive common characteristic. Among them, the self-common characteristic is form. Because it can be destroyed, it is called form, meaning it will be destroyed. As it is said in the sutras: 'Monks, form is destructible, therefore it is called the aggregate of form.' Then, what makes it form? It is the touch of hands, feet, and sticks. For example, because it walks fast, it is a horse, because it walks, it is an ox, and so on. The directional common characteristic is impermanence and suffering. The exhaustive common characteristic is emptiness and selflessness. In this way, one can appropriately examine these three characteristics of all phenomena. This is the object of form. Feeling is the three kinds of experience: pleasure, pain, and neither pleasure nor pain. These three are the meaning of feeling. Wanting and not wanting, and beyond both, are the birthplace of contact, the differences in physical and mental states, namely calmness, suffering, and beyond both. The cause of existence is feeling. As the Bhagavan said: 'Conditioned by contact, feeling arises; conditioned by feeling, craving arises.' This also arises through the distinctions of consciousness in six ways.

Furthermore, contact born from the aggregation of the eye faculty, and contact born from the aggregation of the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind faculties. This is further divided into two types: physical and mental. Among these, that which arises simultaneously with the five consciousnesses is physical. The other is mental. Based on the difference in faculties, there are five types: the faculty of pleasure, the faculty of pain, the faculty of mental pleasure, the faculty of mental displeasure, and the faculty of equanimity. Among these, whatever is physical ease, and whatever mental ease arises from the third dhyana, is the faculty of pleasure, which is the meaning of overcoming. Whatever is not physical ease is the faculty of pain, which is the meaning of harm. Whatever mental ease is below the third dhyana is the faculty of mental pleasure. The opposite of that is the faculty of mental displeasure. Whatever is neither physical nor mental ease, nor non-ease, is the faculty of equanimity. It is the faculty of feeling. The perception of characteristics, names, meanings, and terms, such as blue, yellow, long, short, conch, drum, lotus, nasal flower, the scent of উৎপala, snow and salt, soft and rough, woman and man, and so on, and whatever dharma knows name and meaning as one, is the cause of discrimination, and is called perception. This, too, based on the difference in consciousness, is divided into six types, like feeling. It is also divided into three types: small, large, and immeasurable. Among these, that which focuses on a small object is small. That which focuses on Mount Meru and so on is large. That which focuses on the sphere of infinite space and so on is immeasurable. It is the object of perception. The aggregate of formations is divided into two types: those that are associated (with consciousness). Among these, those that are associated are thought, contact, attention, desire, resolve, faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, wisdom, investigation, analysis, carefulness, carelessness, weariness, great joy, ease, non-harming, shame, embarrassment, and equanimity.
