Explanation of Formation. Furthermore, noble disciples learn in this way: Whatever form, all of it is caused by the four great elements and arises from the four great elements. The four great elements themselves are impermanent, conditioned, achieved through reflection, and dependently originated. Having understood this, one becomes a believer in the immovable. Having realized this, one cultivates it many times and abides in it. One generates joy in the aggregates. Having generated joy in the aggregates, now the noble disciple enters into the immovable and attains wisdom liberation. Through cultivating what does consciousness move towards the immovable, this exists and is possible. This is the second action of approaching the immovable that is taught. Furthermore, noble disciples learn in this way, correctly and individually: Whatever desire of the visible dharma, and whatever desire of the future; whatever form of the visible dharma, and whatever form of the future; whatever perception of desire of the visible dharma, and whatever perception of desire of the future; whatever perception of form of the visible dharma, and whatever perception of form of the future, these are impermanent, conditioned, achieved through reflection, and dependently originated.
