The reason is that form does not contradict wisdom and ignorance. If it were not so, then form would not be abandoned by seeing. Just as form does not contradict the path of seeing wisdom like afflictions that are abandoned by seeing, because those who have seen the truth also possess form. Therefore, form is not abandoned by seeing. It is also not contradictory to ignorance, because in the state of its arising, it is not the case that ignorance does not arise like the undefiled path. Therefore, it also does not contradict ignorance. Therefore, this is not something that should be abandoned like the undefiled, nor is it something that should not be abandoned. If it is not something that should be abandoned, and it is also not abandoned by seeing, then it can be established that it is the remaining object to be abandoned by meditation. What is it that needs to be established in this view? It is that form does not contradict wisdom. If someone thinks that form is to be abandoned by seeing, how can they hold that form does not contradict wisdom? Just as those who have seen the truth do not generate bodies and speech that lead to bad migrations. Therefore, it should be established that form is not something to be abandoned by seeing. In order to clarify the other's position so as not to become too extreme, it is explained in detail, "The elements are also." The reason for stating the cause is because the mind is the same. The form that arises from the mind that is abandoned by seeing, also arises from its dependent aggregates. If that is the case, then it will not change, just as the form that arises from wholesome and unwholesome minds is itself wholesome and unwholesome, but its dependent aggregates are not. Similarly, the form that arises from the mind that is abandoned by seeing is itself abandoned by seeing, but its dependent aggregates are not. Alternatively, like form, the elements may also become abandoned by seeing, but what harm does that do to us? Because they are not afflicted, that is, they are unobscured and unspecified. The reason for saying "does not contradict wisdom and ignorance" is that from the aspect of contradiction that cuts off attainment, wisdom sees

It is something that contradicts the path, such as the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing. It is not like the path, nor does it contradict ignorance. The great elements are unobscured and unindicated, and those are only to be abandoned by meditation. Therefore, refuting and establishing in that way, the consciousness to be abandoned by seeing is only the function of initially arising, thus answering well and concluding, therefore, in the sutra, from the perspective of the cause of all arising, there is extensive explanation such as "relying on." There is no contradiction with what is said, "From wrong view, wrong discrimination, wrong speech, and the extreme of wrong action will arise." The so-called "mind" is to distinguish between eye consciousness and so on. The so-called "to be abandoned by meditation" is to distinguish from what is to be abandoned by seeing and the uncontaminated. What is to be abandoned by seeing is only the function of initially arising, not the function of subsequently arising. The uncontaminated is neither. The five are only the function of subsequently arising, not the function of initially arising, because they cannot be examined. The so-called uncontaminated is neither, because of being in equipoise, because of looking inward, and because of contradicting arising. The so-called "not becoming inferior" is displeasure and disharmony. The so-called "single stream of virtue" is a single stream of virtue. The so-called "also in the sutra" indicates that it is explained from the perspective of the Buddha Bhagavan. Because this has no evil, it is a great elephant. Evil is fault. Thus, it is said in the sutra itself that body, speech, and mind do not do evil, therefore it is called an elephant. Therefore, this verse shows that in all four postures, an unindicated mind does not arise from a virtuous mind. "Unwillingly" is explained extensively, the minds of the Buddhas and Bhagavatans are unwilling and inconceivable, because they do not go elsewhere, which is a synonym for not going to other objects.
