Pa'o. To benefit others means that its perfection is to enable beings to attain unsurpassed benefit. Samsara is the place where beings are completely attached, and because it is difficult to overcome, it is like a mud. These refer to, here, beings from samsara to samsara, that is, the five aggregates of close grasping, or the five types of beings. Because of complete attachment, it is complete attachment, or because it is attached by this, it is complete attachment, because it is the basis of the existence of self and what belongs to self, it is the place where beings are completely attached, and because it is the place where I and mine are attached, it is difficult to overcome, that is, because of the influence of the view of the perishable collection, fearing annihilation, it is impossible to overcome it. Because the place of complete attachment and the difficulty of overcoming, samsara is like a mud, similar to mud. Or, because it is samsara, it is samsara, which is the momentary non-abiding without beginning and end, that is, from those of the same kind and equal fortune, from the first born, without interruption, other beings obtain themselves, which refers to this meaning. Samsara and mud are the same in nature, and because they are similar to mud, they are called mud, for example, because of the moisture of mud, it is the place of complete attachment, it is the nature of drowning, and the old cows and so on who are drowned there, because of their own shaking, are difficult to overcome, similarly, samsara is also because of the moisture of the desire for existence, it is the place where beings are completely attached, and because of the swaying of evil views, it is difficult to overcome. On the other hand, because the view of the perishable collection fears its annihilation, it is the place of complete attachment because of the influence of the view of the perishable collection, holding morality and asceticism as supreme, and it is difficult to overcome because of doubt, because of relying on other paths, and because of doubting the path, like this: unwillingness to go and wrong path, and so much doubt about the path, obstruct the progress of liberation, therefore these three are taught. Or, just as mud is an inseparable nature, so it is the place of complete attachment, and because it can only be overcome after showing it to others, it is difficult to overcome, similarly, samsara is also the place of complete attachment that follows, relying on the fully enlightened Buddha.

Because it transcends difficulties, it is difficult to transcend, just like the Udumbara flower, the appearance of the Buddha is rare. Beings are immersed in it and are called helpless. The one who goes the most is sentient beings, because they go there. Immersion is impossible, it is synonymous with abiding in its own nature. Helpless means without relatives and friends, without beating the chest. Having compassion means having compassion, because having compassion, sentient beings are saved from the mire of samsara. Mentioning helplessness is to know that it is worthy of compassion. The meaning of my extending the hand of the holy Dharma is that expounding the Dharma such as the sutras of the holy ones, the auspicious ones, and those worthy of offerings is to make it clear. Because expounding the holy Dharma itself is extending a hand, it is the extended hand of expounding the holy Dharma, which is related to saving from the mire of samsara, the hand and the Dharma are consistent, so it is like extending a hand, so it is extending a hand. The many words are to show the categories of teachings according to the categories of those to be tamed, as it is said: The friend of actions, the aggregates of Dharma are declared to be consistent. If samsara is also the five aggregates, and sentient beings are also the five aggregates, then how can it be that itself? If it is said that guidance is from the meaning of origin, then this fault does not exist, samsara is the five kinds of beings and the three realms. Guidance refers to the nature of sentient beings who have the merit of being tamed, guiding from the three lower realms and all decaying lives, so the meaning of origin is reasonable. If people like us live in samsara, then how can it be said that sentient beings are saved from the mire of samsara? In order to eliminate this contradiction, it is said that they are saved according to their merit. Or like having a direction, it is also established in the direction, in order to avoid the suspicion of inferiority arising for all sentient beings, it is said in that way on the premise of guiding the behavior of all sentient beings, just like the sun. Just as the sun is able to make the lotus open, but only makes those fully ripe lotuses open, so too does the Bhagavan.
