The term "knowing" refers to the very appearance of objects such as blue. The reason for "becoming the cause of consciousness" is that consciousness is also the cause of other consciousnesses. Therefore, that which can generate other consciousnesses is called consciousness. The reason for "indicating the cause in the tone of the agent" is that the cause is the agent. For example, a bell is the cause of making a sound, so it is said that the bell makes a sound, which is the same as that. The reason for "being a lamp because it is the only one" is that the flame is continuously connected, and it appears in other places. The nature of the lamp's continuity appears in other places, and it is said that it goes to that place. Similarly, because it is the only one, consciousness is continuously connected, and the nature of the continuity of consciousness arises in other places, so it is called consciousness, and it is thought that the continuity of consciousness produces consciousness. Or, as explained in detail such as "how does it change?", just as the changer changes from form, and the dweller dwells from the dwelling place, and it is not another meaning, consciousness also changes in the same way, because no function is seen in other places, so the consciousness of the knower is not another meaning. Alternatively, this is a refutation following the tenets of the Vaibhashika school. The meaning of "if it does not arise from itself" is that if consciousness does not arise from itself, because there is no difference in the cause of the nature of consciousness, consciousness will only produce consciousness that is the same as it. If it is thought that it arises from itself, then because of the difference in its thoughts, a special consciousness will arise. The meaning of "it will not necessarily arise in order" is why will it not necessarily arise in order? It will not arise if it is not in order. If a woman's consciousness arises after a cow's consciousness, and a buffalo's consciousness arises after a woman's consciousness, why will only the cow's mind not arise afterwards, like sprouts, stems, and leaves? Only the stem arises from the sprout.

It is not that sepals and the like are transformed, but only sepals are produced from the peduncle; It is like not being flowers or sprouts. The meaning of "from the perfection of meditation, those who arise in equipoise" in the sutra is that those who have perfected and reached the ultimate in meditation will arise in equipoise with similar body and mind. The so-called "self-nature" refers to the thought that arises naturally without being requested by others. In this way, the question of "why these equipoises do not always arise with the same appearance as those equipoises" has been answered. In order to explain the question of "the order will not necessarily arise," the sutra says, "the order of minds is also definite," which is only an expectation. The so-called "from the difference of kinds" refers to the difference of habituation. The detailed explanation of "after the mind of a woman" in the sutra is that the mind of a woman, that is, after the mind that is focused on a woman. The body of that woman is that body. Suppose a Brahmin or any other virtuous person has the mind to destroy that body, or the mind of her husband or son, etc., that is, her husband and son, etc. The word "etc." includes daughters, etc. The mind focused on them is the mind focused on the husband and son. Suppose she or someone else arises after the mind of a woman, or later a woman's mind arises from a complete transformation into another continuum, then the woman's mind that arises later has the ability to generate the mind to destroy that body, that is, has the ability to generate the mind to destroy the woman's body, or has the ability to generate the mind of her husband or son, etc. Why? Because the sutra says, "because it is of the same kind as that." Because this mind has the kind of mind that destroys that body, or her husband or son, etc., it is a mind of the same kind as that. The self-nature of that is "same kind." Therefore, it is thought to be "because it is of the same kind as that." "Otherwise" means not being of the same kind as that. Again, the detailed explanation of "from the mind of a woman by kinds" in the sutra is that it is not at the same time, but by kinds.
