It is called "not saying it otherwise." Their thought on this is, if only the aggregates are clung to as a person, why not say that the body is the only life? "Only the previous ones" refers to those such as the elder Nāgasena. "Speaking much" means to rebuke. The opponent argues, if it is not to speak of a person, why didn't the Blessed One say that it is only non-existence? Saying "that is also unbearable to show" means that it is impossible to show non-self. "Previously universally ignorant" refers to the ignorance of having a view of the aggregates. "Afterwards it will grow greatly" is thinking that other views with nihilistic views will arise. Therefore, it is said, "My self existed before, but now that self of mine does not exist either." What is said here refers to the monk Youthful Lotus. "Bitten by the teeth of view" means that the view itself is the teeth, and the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, considering being bitten by it, also show the antidote, non-self. Considering the destruction of actions, that is, considering that what is done is meaningless, and showing those who seem to have a person, they also show it elsewhere. "Like a tigress carrying her cub." It means, if the tigress bites this body with its teeth, that is not okay, thinking therefore, grabbing it slightly carelessly, and also fearing not carrying and not leading the child, this will fall down and get hurt, therefore grabbing it slightly loosely, and also fearing not carrying it, grabbing it appropriately and carrying it, like that. "Others" read it as "leading," meaning to lead and move from another place. Similarly, in order to show the meaning, showing the cause, it is said in detail, "If one enters into having a self," if one enters into having a self, then the beings to be tamed will be bitten by the teeth of view, which have the characteristic of having a view of the aggregates. Saying "not understanding the conventional" is not understanding the terms of the Dharma, thinking that the results of actions do not exist, for virtuous Dharma it is like a tiger's cub.

it will destroy (right view). What exists by imputation is imputation, and some people will think that even the person who exists in conventional truth does not exist, so it was not said that it does not exist. If it exists, why not say it exists? It means that if a person exists in the ultimate sense, why doesn't the Blessed One say that a person exists? There is no fault in saying that form exists, because it exists. Like the naked ascetic Sravaka grabbing a bird, it means that a naked ascetic Sravaka grabbed a live bird and asked the Blessed One whether this bird was alive or not. His thought was this: if the Shramana Gautama said it was alive, he would pinch it to death to show it. If the Blessed One said that this bird was dead, he would show it alive. He manifested in this way in order to know how to know that (Gautama) was not the all-knowing one of the world. The Blessed One knew his thoughts and did not answer, but only said: Whether this bird is alive or not depends on your mind. Similarly, there is no answer here either. These four sentences have the same meaning. It means that the four sentences, whether the world is permanent or the world is impermanent, have the same meaning as the four sentences, whether the world has an end or the world has no end. If so, how can there be fourteen unanswered things? The world is permanent, this is one sentence. Has an end, this is the second sentence. Similarly, the Tathagata exists after death, this is the third sentence. Life is the body, and life is different from the body, these are two sentences. Are three four-sentences and one two-sentence the fourteen unanswered things? When establishing with the nature of names, there may also be fourteen, so there is no fault. Is this asking with other names? This refers to asking about the situation of having an end. For example, how to ask? Does all the world necessarily escape from this path? This refers to having an end.
