The sutra says that the result of the next life is not born from non-manifestation, so why would it be completely joyful? It should be connected in this way. Because there is no manifestation, etc., it means that because there is no dharma that can initiate, there is no dharma that can be defiled. The substance of non-manifestation has already been proven. The sound of "etc." includes because one does not do what one has promised, and because one relies on the past four great elements, etc., because those also have no self-nature, etc. That itself does not belong to the realm of dharma, which means that the color of samadhi produced by the power of samadhi of meditators is invisible and unobstructed. For now, tell me, you say, this is inconsistent, so don't tell me anymore. Others say, come back and talk, that's what it means. Therefore, the reason for elaborating on the cause is that since this is the case, the cause is linked to non-manifestation, and to the cause-having right speech, etc., and it is said in non-manifestation, that is, right speech, karma, and livelihood, which is what it means. Like this mind and body, mind refers to the mind that does not kill, etc., or the mind of faith, etc. The body refers to the completely transformed support. Therefore, the cause is linked to the mind or body, and to the cause-having right speech, etc., thereby establishing the eightfold path. Merely not doing those things is merely not doing wrong speech, etc. What is that? Here, the Noble Path is elaborated in detail. If merely not doing is a branch, then how can it be unpolluted? That is also because it is obtained by relying on the unpolluted path, so it is unpolluted. If merely not doing is a branch.

If it is not substantially existent, how can it have eight branches? Therefore, it is explained in detail that not all substantially existent dharmas need to be enumerated completely. The phrase "ceremony performed beforehand" refers to the ceremony of violating the precepts being performed beforehand. The question of whether the mind is associated with or bound by another mind means that if the mind is a vow, then if the mind of that mind is associated with a mind other than that, it will not be bound. At that time, with what mind does one restrain body and speech? That does not exist. No, because of being accustomed to it, it is explained in detail that it is not like that, because one is accustomed to it, and because one is accustomed to the continuum of mind and mental events, at the time of action, when the mind and so on are close, there is mindfulness. Because mindfulness is close, thinking "I have abandoned killing and so on," therefore, with what mind does one restrain body and speech, that will become manifest. Like that, to properly take it for the sake of the year's meaning, means to remember this vow of not doing it no matter what, and not to engage in immoral precepts. The statement "even a forgetful person will not break the precepts" means that at that time there is non-manifestation, like a water wheel, which is an obstacle to immoral precepts. The statement "that aggregate cannot be both with subtle fruit and with coarse fruit" means that the aggregate of the great elements, such as the earth element, which is the basis of manifestation, cannot be both with subtle fruit because it is a non-manifesting fruit, invisible and unobstructed, and with coarse fruit because it is a manifesting fruit, visible and obstructed. Therefore, non-manifestation arises from other great elements alone as the cause. The statement "when there is manifestation" is explained in detail as when manifestation arises, that is when there is non-manifestation. Therefore, what exists at that time is the great element, that is, what is non-manifestation, when manifestation arises, what arises at that time is

If asked, do the great elements arise as causes? The answer is, "all" refers to the form produced as a cause, including revealing and non-revealing forms, as well as meditation and the unpolluted. All things such as eyes, ears, forms, and sounds are like this, and the great elements of the same period arise only as causes. The mention of "mostly" is to clarify the small part of non-revealing forms that exist in the desire realm. Therefore, to explain that a small part of the present and future arises from the past great elements as causes, it is said that "a small part of the present and future arises from the past great elements as causes." The form produced as a cause, a small part of the present, arises from the past great elements as causes; the form produced as a cause, a small part of the future, arises from the past great elements as causes. If asked, what is the form produced as a cause like that? To explain this, it is said: "Desire, thought, non-revealing, not at once, the future is born from the past seed." It means that the non-revealing forms existing in the desire realm, such as when holding precepts, the great elements that arise together are produced as causes. Similarly, other non-revealing forms are also produced only by those as causes. In this way, they become the fundamental meaning here, just as the basis of other forms produced as causes is the great elements that arise now, their support is the past. Because it is the cause of entering and following, it is said "in order." The past great elements are the cause of entering and also the cause of abandoning, so they become the fundamental meaning. The great elements of the body that arise now are the cause of following and also the cause of supporting, so they become the meaning of support. Saying "like a wheel" means that just as a hand pushes a wheel, that is the cause of entering. Just like the direction of the ground, that is the cause of following. Asking about the definite time, and then asking where it exists, this is asking in detail about the definite place, meaning up to the ground of the fourth dhyana, because there is no arising in the formless realm.
