Therefore, uncontaminated wisdom is the enemy of ignorance, and after attaining it, for all knowable things, it becomes the nature of not arising again, therefore it is called eternally extinguished, which means completely not arising and being eliminated. Therefore, this "this" refers to the Bhagavan (bhagavan, the Blessed One). "The Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas also" means that for the sake of offering, the word "Pratyekabuddha" has already been mentioned above. "Although wanting" means although acknowledging. "Completely not" means because there is no separation from non-afflictive pervasive ignorance and forever. Do the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas also, like the Buddha, not abandon all contaminated things? Why is it said that they are only eternally separated from afflictive pervasive ignorance? This is what is meant to be expressed. For example, "If I have not realized, have not fully known one dharma, then I do not say that it is the end of suffering," and "If I have not fully known, have not abandoned one dharma, then I do not say that it is the end of suffering," it has been said like this. Therefore, if the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas also, like abandoning desire, only abandon non-afflictive ignorance, just like the eye and so on, if it is not like this, then the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas will also not become the end of suffering. If someone asks like this, then, it is indeed like this, they, like abandoning afflictive nature, also only abandon non-afflictive ignorance. Although it is abandoned, but for them, just like the eye and so on, it will still arise, but for the Buddha Bhagavan, after it is abandoned, it will never arise again, therefore it is specially said that "because it becomes the nature of not arising again, therefore it is extinguished." If it is not like this, then it will only be said that "for everything it is eternally extinguished." Those who explain that the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, because they are free from afflictions, are those who have completely reversed afflictions from all aspects, their statements do not match what is said, so they should be abandoned. For example, for them, when explaining in detail, the word "for example" means "because".

Words. On the other hand, the so-called "like this" refers to how it is fundamentally not like that. The so-called "for those" refers to the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The so-called "Buddha's Dharma" refers to the unshared Dharmas, etc. The so-called "place and time extremely long" refers to place extremely long and time extremely long. The so-called "limitless distinctions" also refers to things like form, which are not the nature of the Buddha's Dharma. The so-called "non-afflictive ignorance exists" is merely a synonym for "all arising." So, what are the eighteen unshared Buddha Dharmas? Because their nature is extremely subtle and profound, others besides the Buddha cannot know them, just as when the Blessed One asked Shariputra, "Do you know the Tathagata's aggregate of morality, aggregate of samadhi, aggregate of wisdom, aggregate of liberation, and aggregate of the knowledge and vision of liberation?" the Venerable Shariputra replied, "Blessed One, I do not know." It is like that. Also, those material things composed of colored dust particles, if the place is extremely long. And those non-discriminating and non-material things, if the support is extremely long, then if the place is extremely long, they also cannot be known because they are separated by many world realms. It is said that the Venerable Maudgalyayana did not fully know the luminous world, the birthplace of his mother, which was extremely long ago. Time extremely long refers to the past or the future. Those also cannot be known because their arising and destruction are separated by many other kalpas. The Venerable Shariputra expelled a person who wanted to be ordained because he did not see the root of virtue corresponding to the part of liberation, but the Blessed One saw the root of virtue corresponding to his part of liberation, saying, "I saw this person's extremely subtle seed of liberation, like gold in pigments and stones, and a face in a mirror." It is said that he was then ordained.
