Like the Dharma of abiding in the earth. A Bodhisattva should not abide with delight in Nirvana. One should turn one's back on Nirvana and abide. One should not be afraid of afflictions and near afflictions. One should not make the mind too solitary towards them. Thus, a Bodhisattva should revolve in Samsara for three countless eons and think that one must accomplish perfect enlightenment. To view it in that way and speak in that manner becomes a fault of affliction. Even a Hearer temporarily shows that he delights solely in Nirvana for the sake of himself alone, and is weary of afflictions and near afflictions. What need is there to mention that a Bodhisattva arises for the sake of all sentient beings? One must properly accomplish the habituation of such a mind to being completely free from affliction. Even if one is not an Arhat, one is superior to that because one possesses complete freedom from affliction and cuts off contaminated objects. As it is said: "The supreme being who carries the great burden of sentient beings on his head, it is not beautiful for him to walk slowly. One who is bound by various bonds of self and others, it is fitting to exert a hundredfold effort." Like that which was said. Regarding that which is called "not famous," etc. Not famous is that which is not praised, not proclaimed. One does not abandon that. To retain is to fall away from the practice of mindfulness and awareness of the precepts that gather virtuous Dharmas, and to fully know and definitely see one's own errors, and to repeatedly disrespect the five aspects of definite teachings, like the Dharma of abiding. If a Bodhisattva does not dispel the truth of bad words that make his own words impolite, it becomes a fault of affliction. If one does not dispel that which is not the truth, one is not afflicted. Speaking unpleasantly because of the cause of ordination and begging, and being clearly attached to other heretics, or being overwhelmed by anger and having a perverted mind, if one speaks unpleasantly, it is a fault.

None. Regarding "including afflictions" and so on, including afflictions refers to forceful actions. It is not only that, but also gentle actions, which is the meaning of the word "also." Not correcting means to make faults apparent. If one does not point out through reason and does not rebuke, then in the code of conduct for benefiting sentient beings, regarding the five types of repeated disrespect, because of rebuking with the intention of benefiting mistakes, causing them to remember, thereby leading to falling away from practice, therefore this is a dharma like a place of transgression. In order to protect other Bodhisattvas from becoming displeased, if one does not point out through gentle and forceful means, and abandons them, then one will commit a fault related to afflictions. One should also point out to others through forceful means. If one points out these things in this way, even if these people become displeased because of it, or do not become displeased, there will be no fault. Because of the reason for pointing out profound meaning, even if it causes great displeasure, there is no fault. Regarding "reviling in return" and so on, to revile the reviler in return is to revile in return. The meaning of "etc." is retaliating with anger, retaliating with blows, retaliating with exposing faults, and so on, there are six types. Just as with reviling in return, one should also understand with retaliating with anger and so on. Those who retaliate with anger and so on, because they fall away from seeking to benefit others through the precepts of discipline and the precepts of accumulating virtuous dharmas, therefore this is a dharma like a place of transgression. A Bodhisattva For those who revile, anger, beat, and expose the faults of others, because they are overwhelmed by anger, wanting to humiliate them again, they revile in return, retaliate with anger, retaliate with blows, retaliate with exposing faults, then they will commit a fault related to afflictions. Regarding "those who are angry" and so on, for others who are angry and agitated, one also abandons them, does not ask for forgiveness, and does not discipline them with a whip, this is because one does not accept the afflictions and near afflictions that are the root of the precepts of accumulating virtuous dharmas, thereby leading to falling away from practice. Therefore, this is a dharma like a place of transgression. Bodhisattva
