And the sutras of men, and so on. Which are the sutras that have the bardo path? Such as the one called "Seven Existences," and so on. That is, the Sutra of Seven Existences, the Sutra of Non-Return, the Sutra of Going, and the Sutra of Entering the Womb, and so on. These sutras are not accepted by the Sarvastivadins and others. The Sarvastivadins, the Dharmaguptakas, the Kashyapiyas, and others do not accept them, so they do not become the words of the Buddha. What are the sutras that differ from each other in terms of schools? Such as the Sutra of the Seal of Dharma, the Sutra of Going, and so on. All the words of the Buddha are not visible today, so it has been taught. Those words of the Buddha that are not visible are not accepted by some teachers, so they do not become the words of the Buddha. Why? If that is the word of the Buddha, it is because the great teaching is valid. Thus, the great teaching in the sutras is valid, but not the black teaching. How is it? After speaking extensively, thus, Ananda, if a monk comes and says, 'This is the Dharma, this is the Vinaya, this is the teaching of the teacher, I have heard it directly from the Blessed One and have personally received it.' Do not be pleased with the monk's statement, nor should you denigrate it. Do not be pleased or denigrate, but enter into the sutras. Make it appear in the Vinaya. Make it consistent with the nature of Dharma. If you enter into the sutras and make it appear in the Vinaya, but it does not enter into the sutras, it does not appear in the Vinaya, and it does not conform to the nature of Dharma, then say to that monk, 'Venerable, without a doubt, these dharmas were not spoken by the Blessed One, but were taken by the Venerable himself.' Thus, these dharmas are consistent with the sutras and correspond to the Vinaya, but they do not enter into the sutras, they do not appear in the Vinaya, and they do not conform to the nature of Dharma, so this is not the Dharma, this is not the Vinaya, this is not the teaching of the teacher.' It should be understood in this way.

It should be said, that is what should be done. Then, entering the sutra of the noble truths, like this, speaking extensively, monks, these four are the noble truths. Which four? The noble truth of suffering, the noble truth of origin, the noble truth of cessation, and the noble truth of the path that leads to the cessation of suffering, this is widely appearing. The so-called "appearing in subduing afflictions" means that subduing afflictions is the antidote to afflictions. The so-called "not contradicting the nature of dependent arising" means not contradicting the nature of "this arising because of this existing." If it is said because of contradiction, then that fault has already been eliminated. How to eliminate it? If because it contradicts such a nature, the Mahayana is not the word of the Buddha, then the word of the Buddha that you acknowledge, others will also not become the word of the Buddha. Why? Because of contradiction, this is widely appearing. The so-called "such words are" refers to "all dharmas are without inherent existence" and so on, such words of that kind. The so-called "for those who are naturally blind" refers to those who are naturally blind. The so-called "like that which does not exist" means that just as in order to eliminate their attachment to it, it is shown that form is non-existent, it is the same as this. The so-called "not understanding what was said at the beginning," appearing widely, refers to those who do not distinguish the meaning and do not understand, that is, not understanding what was said at the beginning, those who do not understand what was said at the beginning, that is, the inexpressible dharma, in order to eliminate the attachment to the inexpressible nature of the dharma. Therefore, some people's, appearing widely, refers to just as it is shown, some people's extreme of superimposition, superimposition itself is the extreme, so it is the extreme of superimposition, abandoning the attachment to the imputed nature. Some people's extreme of defamation, defamation itself is the extreme, abandoning the defamation of the dependent nature. The form of what was said has been shown.
