Which is the cause of increasing habitual patterns. What becomes the result is the complete fulfillment of what was thrown by previous actions, and the arising of the maturation habit is obtained, and in other similar categories, the alaya-consciousness is manifested and accomplished, and the arising of the habit of the same cause is obtained, and from the entering consciousness and the afflicted mind, the alaya-consciousness is manifested and accomplished. Among them, the entering consciousness, virtuous and non-virtuous, generates the maturation habit and the habit of the same cause in the alaya-consciousness. The unspecified and the afflicted mind only generate the habit of the same cause. Because what is said about the three transformations is not understood, therefore, in order to show its differences, it is said: Maturation and self-attachment, and distinguishing objects. That's what is said. Those three transformations are called maturation, and called self-attachment, and called distinguishing objects. Among them, by the power of the complete maturation of the habits of virtuous and non-virtuous actions, how the result is thrown and manifested and accomplished is maturation. The afflicted mind is always the nature of self-attachment, so it is self-attachment. Because the separate objects such as form appear, the six consciousnesses such as the eye should be known as distinguishing objects. Because its own nature is not explained, it cannot be understood, therefore, in order to show in order what its own nature is. Therefore it is said: That alaya-consciousness is the maturation of all seeds. The so-called that refers to the three transformations that have just been said. The so-called alaya refers to the alaya-consciousness. Any consciousness is transformed into maturation. It is the place of the seeds of all pervasively defiled dharmas, so it is alaya, alaya and support are synonymous. Or all dharmas enter and are related as the object of the result, or it enters and is related to all dharmas as the object of the cause, so it is alaya. It is able to distinguish, so it is distinguishing. Realm,

Everything is caused by the maturation of good and non-good deeds. It is the place of the seeds of all dharmas, therefore it is the seed of all. If there is an alaya-consciousness apart from the entering consciousness, then for the sake of understanding this, it is also necessary to explain the object and the aspect. Because a consciousness without an object and without an aspect is impossible. Although it is not desired that it is without an object and without an aspect, however, the object and the aspect are not completely cut off. Why is that? Because the alaya-consciousness arises in two aspects: the inner near-taking consciousness, and the outer aspect that is not completely cut off, the vessel consciousness. Among them, the inner near-taking is the habit of manifesting attachment to the nature of complete imputation, and the body and name of the root associated with the place. Because its object is very subtle. It is the taker and the place, the consciousness is unknowing. Because there is an unknowing taker and an unknowing consciousness of the place, therefore the alaya-consciousness is the unknowing taker and place. Among them, the taker is the function of taking. That is, the habit of discriminating self and so on, and the habit of discriminating form and so on as dharmas. Because these exist, the alaya-consciousness takes self and so on as discriminations and form and so on as discriminations as a result, therefore the habit of discriminating self and so on and discriminating form and so on is called the taker. It is not knowing the feeling of what this is, therefore it is called the unknowing taker. Or, the place is the near-taking, so it is the taker. The place is the body. That is, the body and name of the root associated with the place. What is its near-taking, that is the near-going, because it is one with accomplishment and happiness, so it is the taker. Among them, in the desire realm and the form realm, both are takers. Because it is free from desire for form, in the formless realm, form cannot be accomplished as maturation, so it is only taking the four names. However, there, form is only the state of habit, not the state of maturation. Because one cannot know what the taker is, therefore it is unknowing.

It is called "where." The consciousness of the place is the consciousness that abides in the world of containers. Moreover, it arises without being separated from the object and the appearance, hence it is called ignorance. How does consciousness transform without being separated from the object and the appearance? This is similar to the time of the cessation of speech, such as meditative absorption, for those who speak of consciousness. It is not possible to conceive that there is no consciousness at the time of cessation, because it contradicts reason and contradicts the sutras. Therefore, when it is said that the Alaya consciousness is necessarily accompanied by mental factors, it is necessary to explain which mental factors are and with how many it is accompanied. Likewise, are these mental factors always present, or not? Therefore, it is said: 'Always accompanied by contact and attention, contact and perception and volition.' The word 'always' means that as long as there is Alaya consciousness, it is accompanied by these five pervasive dharmas: contact, attention, feeling, perception, and volition. Contact is feeling. Contact is the complete cutting off of the transformation of the senses from the union of the three, and it has the function of being the basis of feeling. The three, namely the senses, the object, and consciousness, are the three. The simultaneous existence of cause and effect is the union of the three. If it exists, then at the same time as it, whatever transformation of the senses is in accordance with feelings such as pleasure, and is similar to it, the cutting off of the aspect of the object that will experience pleasure and so on, that is contact. Whatever sense and distinction becomes the cause of pleasure and pain and so on, that is its transformation. Contact is also similar to the transformation of the senses, so it is called the contact of the senses, or contact by the senses. Therefore, even though it is the nature of cutting off the transformation of the object, it is said to be the cutting off of the transformation of the senses. Its function is the basis of feeling, and as it is widely stated in the sutras: 'Relying on the contact that will experience pleasure, the feeling of pleasure arises.' Mind
