If it is said that the distinction of wind, born from the distinction of mind that causes the body to arise in another place, is itself expressive, then how can that which does not express become expressive? To consider the sense-sphere of touch as virtuous and non-virtuous is not the view of the sons of the Shakyas. So, is it that the body, born from the distinction of mind, arising in another place, is itself expressive? The expressive is imputed, not truly existent, because the body is the nature of many substances. The expressive can also become non-expressive, because odors and so forth do not express other things. To consider the sense-spheres of odors and so forth as virtuous and non-virtuous is also not the view of the sons of the Shakyas. So, is it that the color itself, born from the distinction of mind, is expressive? That is not born from the distinction of mind. Then what is it? It is born from its own seed and the distinction of the wind element. To consider color as virtuous and non-virtuous is also not the view of the sons of the Shakyas. Even if color is not visible, is it expressive when it arises in another place? If the gods delight in striving with their own power, then what is the use of striving for that which cannot be accomplished through effort? Just as forms and so forth are not seen, and just as the power is not seen like the eye and so forth, who can accomplish what the meaning of arising is? If it is not seen, how can it be expressive, that has already been said. If color is virtuous and non-virtuous, then its arising would also become like that, but color is not like that, that has already been said. Therefore, the expressive is not the action of the body. So, is it that only the non-expressive is the action of the body? What is called non-expressive? It is the sense-sphere of form-dharmas such as vows. How can the non-expressive, which is practiced in the desire realm, arise without being expressive? If so, what will it become? It will become following the mind, just as practicing in the form realm.

Son! Therefore, for other sentient and non-sentient beings, both vows and non-vows will not exist. Because time is completely grasped and abandoned, it will not change like that. If the Pratimoksha Sutra is proclaimed, how can one who has become silent become a liar? Then, because non-manifestation is of two forms, it is prophesied, and non-manifestation, because it is a follower, so the virtue and non-virtue of that moment will not become the karma of the body. The manifest karma of body and speech, no matter how examined, will not accomplish good and non-good. Why? Because after abandoning the body, from where will the agreeable or disagreeable result be achieved in the next life, it is to explain that reason. Some say that if the past karma from which the agreeable or disagreeable result is achieved in the next life also exists, why will it not be achieved? Saying that past karma exists is like a pimple appearing on a fruit. The so-called past refers to something that existed before but disappeared later. Then, how should we explain what the Blessed One said: "In hundreds of thousands of kalpas, karmas are not lost, when causes and conditions meet, the results are still borne by oneself." What does it mean to not be lost? It means not becoming without results. It is as shown in the latter half. Who does not want karma to be accompanied by results for a long time? How do those karmas themselves produce results? Is it from the difference of complete transformation, like seeds such as rice, or from the state of one's own characteristics? This needs to be examined. If only the state of one's own characteristics produces results, then because it is not destroyed, it will be shown to produce results. Those things do not exist in their own characteristics, therefore the so-called destruction does not refer to this. Then what is it? It means no longer functioning. What is it like to no longer function? It is no longer throwing out results. Why no longer throw out? Because it has already been thrown out, so it cannot be thrown out again, just as a person who has already been born cannot be born again.

Why not cast other fruits similar to it? How is the fruit cast for the time being? Is it to be placed in a place where it can be born? If so, then the last of those who have exhausted the outflows do not cast fruit, and what is called the cessation of fruit by non-discriminating cessation? Since it does not act from the beginning, how will it be destroyed later? Therefore, it is not possible to cast a fruit of such a nature. How is it then? Whoever nourishes the seed of the fruit, that is what casts the fruit. According to whose view, the past exists, according to that view, the future also exists as a substance, then why not cast the fruit? If all things always exist, what is it? When it does not exist, like this, when a collection is obtained, the fruit will ripen. Here, from where is this its fruit, thus establishing it, what is the ability in this, and what is it? Therefore, for whom the past action that produces fruit in the next life does not work. Then, in the stream of aggregates of good and non-virtuous body, speech, and mind, another dharma that does not correspond to the mind is produced, some say it is called "accumulation," and others say it is called "non-perishing," from where does the next life manifest a pleasant or unpleasant fruit, what is that? If another dharma is not produced in the mind stream, and the mind is reborn elsewhere, then how will the action of the inverted mind manifest fruit in the next life? It must be believed without a doubt. Then, if you are accustomed to the scriptures, even after a long time, you will have memories, and you will have memories of seeing and so on. For that habit or seeing and so on, what dharma causes memories to arise later? In which moment does it arise? What causes the mind that enters into cessation samadhi and so on to arise later? And the madhuca flower soaked in red saffron juice, and together with it, what dharma causes the red flesh to grow later in its fruit? Therefore, how all.
