Now, the change is because the earth element is diminishing. Becoming dry is because the water element is exhausted. One word is the teaching, and two words are the explanation, it should be known. As long as it has not become stale or dry, the light and fragrance of the flower will become smaller, therefore it should be known that it is a change. To have discrimination arise towards desire, not accepting it, this is a fragment of the Sutra. Among them, not accepting is because one does not taste the flavor. Abandoning is because one eliminates the sign of its object. Even if it has been stopped, because the discrimination arising from accumulated causes is flowing in various ways, it must be eliminated, because one must cut off the continuity of the power of individual examination. Even if it has been eliminated, because it arises again due to laxity of diligence, it must be counteracted, because one must suppress it with the power of meditation, or completely destroy the seed. Here it is also said: These four are discrimination, incompatibility and its cause, for complete abandonment and continuity, to cut off subsequent death. Other classifications, because it is considered a fault, therefore it is not accepted. Because it is separated from the power of arising, therefore it must be abandoned. Because it is separated from repeated flow, therefore it must be eliminated. Because the continuity of the virtuous side is stable, therefore it does not flow, therefore it must be purified. Brahmin's son, beings are the owners of karma, enjoy the share of karma, are the birthplace of karma, rely on karma, this is a fragment of the Sutra. Most people think that wealth, houses, sons and wives, etc. are their own, thus generating desire. Therefore, being intoxicated by this, they do not create meritorious deeds, but create non-meritorious deeds. Mostly the gods seek the share of karma, that is, the difference between enjoyment and one's own birth, and if they decline, they rely on the gods. By doing so, they will be deceived by seeing non-cause as cause. The Bhagavan, as an antidote to this, said that the karma of beings alone is their own master.

It is said that sentient beings partake of and utilize only their past karma, and they arise from the birthplace of karma alone. Their decline is shown only by karma, not by the gods. So it is said. What is the reason for this? Karma is not shared by kings and others, and it does not abandon them even at the time of death. For those who respect or disrespect the gods, it is evidenced by the decline or abundance of their possessions. It is evidenced by their inferior or superior births. It is evidenced by the non-pacification or pacification of epidemic diseases and harms. One cultivates to generate aversion to desires, to be free from attachment, and to cause cessation. This is a section of the Sutra Pitaka. Among them, "to desires" refers to the desire realm. "To forms" refers to the form realm. In another way, it is like the desires and forms spoken of in the first chapter of the Sutra of the Aggregate of Suffering. "To generate aversion, to be free from attachment, and to cause cessation" means to fully understand suffering itself, to abandon the origin, and to realize cessation, in that order. The term "cultivation" completely shows the cultivation of the path through practice. Furthermore, when suffering arises in the future from the cause of attachment to joy, these three are taught in order as antidotes. One cultivates to exhaust attachment, to exhaust existence, to exhaust suffering, and to exhaust the aggregates. This is a section of the Sutra Pitaka. This shows that the suffering of the lower realms is also for the sake of exhausting existence and its causes. It is the cause of attachment. Suffering is the suffering of the lower realms, as the Blessed One said, "All the bad migrations in this world and the next arise from the root of ignorance and are produced entirely from desire and attachment."
