Without craving. What is clinging dependence? It is associated with craving for the five desirable qualities. What is manifest dependence? It is not associated with that. The aggregate of feeling is established by place, own nature, place aggregation, complete defilement, and complete purification. Among them, by the place aggregation of form, the feeling of the body is established. By the place aggregation of formlessness, the feeling of the mind is established. By complete defilement, it is for those associated with poison and so on. By complete purification, it should be understood as the establishment of those without poison and so on. Not possessing its craving, it should be understood that it is not equally associated with all defilements. What is the complete knowledge of the aggregate of perception? The six collections of perception, namely, the perception born from the contact of the eye, and the perception born from the contact of the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind, that is, by which one truly knows the characteristics and the absence of characteristics, as well as the small, the great, the immeasurable, and the realm of nothingness. What is perception with characteristics? It is the one who is not skilled in terminology, and the one who abides by dwelling in the realm of no characteristics, and any perception other than the one who abides in the peak of existence. What is perception without characteristics? Any perception other than perception. What is small perception? It is the one who knows the desire realm. What is great perception? It is the one who knows the form realm. What is immeasurable perception? It is the one who knows the sphere of infinite space and the sphere of infinite consciousness. What is the perception of nothingness? It is the one who knows the sphere of nothingness. Not being skilled in terminology means that one who has not learned language, if perception arises for form, does not know that it is form, therefore it is called perception without characteristics. Abiding in the realm of no characteristics means that being separated from all characteristics such as form, and generating perception towards the uncharacteristic nirvana, is perception without characteristics. The perception of abiding at the peak of existence is

Because it is clear and does not take the object as a sign, it is the perception of no sign. Small refers to the desire realm, because it is inferior. Becoming great refers to the form realm, because it is superior to it. Immeasurable refers to space and the sphere of infinite consciousness, because it is infinite. Therefore, the perception of these objects should be understood as small and other perceptions. What is the aspect of the aggregate of formations? It is the six minds, that is, the mental activity arising from the gathering of the eye faculty, and the mental activity arising from the gathering of the ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind faculties. Whether it is mental activity for the sake of virtue, or mental activity for the sake of complete defilement, or mental activity according to the difference of states. Thus, apart from feeling and perception, this mental activity, and other phenomena arising from the mind, and formations that are not associated with the mind, are called the aggregate of formations. Apart from feeling and perception, all that arises from the mind, and that which is not associated with the mind, is the nature of the aggregate of formations. In explaining it, the reason for first grasping only mental activity is that it precedes others. The reason for showing the reasoning that can be understood is that which is represented by "with what is mental activity for the sake of virtue" and so on. Among them, virtue refers to faith and so on that will be explained. Complete defilement refers to afflictions such as desire and near afflictions. The difference in states refers to the formations that do not correspond to the mind, which are nominally established on the state of formations produced by mental activity. That is, mental activity and contact, as well as desire, resolve, mindfulness, samadhi, wisdom, faith, shame, embarrassment, non-attachment, non-hatred, non-ignorance, diligence, pliancy, mindfulness, equanimity, non-harming, as well as desire, anger, pride, ignorance, doubt, view of the transitory collection, view of extremes, wrong view, holding views as supreme, holding ethics and discipline as supreme, not
