Holding the abandonment of non-virtue in all circumstances is proper adherence. The discipline of gathering virtuous dharmas is the correct accomplishment of virtuous dharmas in all ways. The discipline of working for the benefit of sentient beings is to work for the benefit of sentient beings in all ways, without attachment or regard for one's own happiness. It should be understood that the meaning of the basis of the two disciplines is the cause, because if body, speech, and mind are subdued, then the Buddha's dharma powers and so on can be correctly accomplished, and one can also obtain perfect excellence, and one can also enter the three vehicles, and one can also become a fortunate one who ripens sentient beings, otherwise not. This is the distinction of the bodhisattva's discipline, because the hearers and so on do not have two trainings. The discipline of vows is also superior, as it is taught, the difference between common and uncommon trainings, in which the common trainings are those that are naturally blameworthy and accompanied by innate faults, and whose results are not desired even without prohibition, such as killing, which is definitely the same for both hearers and bodhisattvas. The uncommon trainings are those that are blameworthy and accompanied by innate faults that are prohibited by precepts, such as going inside during the summer, which is practiced everywhere. The so-called training in that is to practice the blameworthy things that are prescribed later. Wherever one goes inside during the summer, it becomes a downfall for the hearers, but for the bodhisattva who goes to another place looking at the one to be tamed, there is no downfall even if the summer is cut off, because the benefit of others is the main thing. Wherever there is something to be done for the benefit of sentient beings, but one is afraid of cutting off the summer and does not go to another place, therefore the bodhisattva will fall into downfall, but the hearers will not fall into downfall, because their compassion is small. The bodhisattva's discipline is mainly mental, such as the desire for desire and the thoughts of harm, etc., which are the bodhisattva's broken discipline, but not the hearer's, because they have correctly taken the seven abandonments. Therefore, the hearer's discipline is bodily.

It can be said with the mouth, but not in the heart. In short, whatever benefits all sentient beings without harm is called benefiting all sentient beings without harm, which is a definition. For example, it is not like walking, etc., to fill the stomach. Although that is beneficial, it is not harmless. To avoid this, "harmless" is mentioned. The superior precepts, etc., are the three trainings. Are they not included in the Paramitas? Why are they mentioned separately? It is for the sake of doing it in other classifications, to show that the former and the latter are the relationship of cause and effect. As it is said in the scriptures: Based on the aggregate of discipline, the aggregate of concentration arises. Based on meditation, the aggregate of wisdom arises. From this, the aggregate of liberation and the wisdom of liberation arises. It's like that. The so-called difference of vastness is that the bodhisattvas' learning is diverse and immeasurable. Just like this, in order for them to take care of sentient beings, they should also learn this and that. The immeasurable merit is fully upheld vastly, because great compassion is inexhaustible, so immeasurable merit is fully upheld. Upholding the thought of benefiting and bringing happiness to all sentient beings, the so-called vastness, is the idea of benefiting by engaging in virtuous deeds. Combining this with the path of ease is the thought of happiness. Or, wishing for happiness in the next life is the thought of benefiting. Relying on the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment is because it is the object of focus. The Shravakas, etc., do not have all of this, so it is the difference of vastness. In terms of the difference of profundity, it is said, "Whoever is a Bodhisattva skilled in means," and so on. If you ask, under what circumstances can one engage in actions such as killing? If it is known that that person is clearly inclined to engage in other non-virtuous deeds, and his mind is also understood, and it cannot be prevented by other means, and he will also fall into the lower realms, and seeing that killing him will lead to rebirth in the higher realms,
