Because "any name will not be completely applicable to other things," it is also possible to fully understand the characteristics that follow. Through the association of these two, the difference between self-nature and imputation should also be understood. Therefore, it should be understood that these four pervasive searches are the combination of four pervasive knowledges. If names and things become different, then fully understanding the necessity of the association between these two is the first step in truly and completely understanding. Therefore, it is said that he truly and completely understands the name. Even if they are very different, Buddhas and Bodhisattvas know with their wisdom that the name of a certain thing is this, but as long as worldly conventions prevail, they will indicate it in the order of names, etc. Because names have the characteristic of making people generate concepts. The so-called "meaning of concept" refers to the meaning of approximately representing the thing with name and reason. The so-called "just as a concept arises, attachment will also appear," the "meaning of viewing" is said, and the so-called "just as attachment appears, a designation will also be made," the "meaning of approximate establishment" is said. Because without it, names will be attached. For example, for form, etc. If there is no concept, it is impossible to approximately represent things, and if there is no concept, it is also impossible to have attachment to imputation. If there is no attachment, it is impossible to determine one's own understanding of things, and it is also impossible to make others generate certainty. Similarly, the Dharma and unity will also disappear. Therefore, understanding the establishment of names is the pervasive search for names, which is truly and completely understanding. For things, if one only pervasively searches with the thing itself, then it is unmixed, that is, not possessed. Merely observing the unspeakable thing itself is the second wisdom. Although the completely established and the self-nature of things are real, they are not its self-nature. Completely understanding and observing that its appearance is similar to an image is the third wisdom. Therefore, it is said that he

In the phrase "the nature of that is transformation," etc., how does transformation occur? It is like an image, transforming into something that resembles its form. Similarly, for the form of things, it should also be understood as like an image, being the nature of pervasive imputation. Likewise, it should be applied to things such as images. Seeing the absence of the nature of pervasive imputation is said to have become the object of practice of the extremely profound meaning. The actions of all phenomena are indeed encompassed by the distinctions of temporary states. Viewing its non-dual nature is the fourth consciousness. The nature itself should also be known as the non-dual nature. Even so, in order to show the difference between this and that, and in order to show the distinction, it is the search itself that is nominally established as the non-dual nature. Non-duality itself is neither existent nor non-existent. Thus, the root words, because they are connected with existence, non-existence, and non-being, it is said: That thing is neither existent nor non-existent. Because the nature pervasively imputed by children is completely unestablished, it is not existent. It is also not non-existent, because it has become the object of non-discriminating wisdom, and therefore abides in an inexpressible nature. Thus, form and so on are also not existent, because, in the ultimate sense, form cannot be established as form. It is also not non-existent, because, in the conventional sense, it can be touched by the touch of hands and so on, and it exists. Therefore, it is said, "approaching as form." Similarly, for what can be shown and so on, it should also be understood in the same way. In order to show that "not knowing the truth as it is, is what gives rise to the proliferation of the suffering of discrimination," it is said: Here, the eight kinds of wrong discriminations of children, etc. In order to strongly show that discrimination is the cause of all afflictions, "wrong" is said. Samsara is the root of afflictions, therefore all.
