That emptiness which is separate from that which is merely non-existent, is what is said. Therefore, to speak of the emptiness of that which is also non-existent is a wrong understanding. What is meant by "in what" is for what reason? What is meant by "what is non-existent" is the nature of what is completely imputed. Or, what is meant by "in what" are objects such as form. Thus, objects that exist in various ways, such as form, are not, in the eyes of children, objects that are completely imputed. Therefore, it is possible to say that objects such as form are empty of this. In this way, seeing only the suchness of objects that are accompanied by faults is seeing ultimate emptiness, and this should be understood. In order to distinguish that suchness, in "what is remaining in this" and so on, what is meant by "as it is" is that seeing what is empty as it is, is without inversion. For objects such as form, there is no conceptualization in the form of grasper and grasped, this is such emptiness. Because there is no strong attachment to it, it is said that conceptualization does not exist. Thus, there is only unreal conceptualization, because it is the place of manifestation. Therefore it is said: "Form" and so on are only terms of designation, and this will show that objects that are empty of imputed nature do not exist as their own nature. Even so, it will enter into the nature of what is completely imputed. Therefore it is said: "Unreal imputation exists, in that the two do not exist." Thus, for objects that are merely objects and designations, to fully know objects as they truly are. Thus, the knowledge that is imputed to what does not exist is complete imputation. Not slandering what merely exists, in order to speak of its synonyms, not adding anything more, and so on. Thus, having temporarily established by reasoning that all phenomena are of an inexpressible nature, wanting to establish it also by scripture, in order to show it by the meaning of verses, name is by what and what...

What is meant by 'so-called' is through which expressions? What are 'all dharmas'? They are the nature of other-dependence. What is 'what is expressed'? It is the completely imputed. 'That is' means the nature of complete imputation. 'In that' means it is not present in the nature of other-dependence. Therefore, it is said in that very text: 'What is to be expressed, transformed from expression, does not exist.' This eliminates the extreme of superimposition and clearly shows the two natures. 'This is the dharmas themselves' means that at all times, expression and the nature of complete imputation are not present in the nature of other-dependence. This eliminates the extreme of denial and clearly shows the nature of perfect establishment. These are the condensed meanings of the verses: when dharmas with names such as form express their nature through names, it is because they do not have names. Therefore, it says in that very text: 'Dharmas do not have names.' This means that apart from that to which the name applies, there is nothing else that is the nature of that dharma. Thus, when those dharmas are definitely determined by names, they are still without names, and therefore they are not other. Therefore, it is said: 'In that, that does not exist.' This is to show that it is the nature of inexpressibility and, because it is established by nature, it is the nature of the ultimate nature of reality. In order to show the two scriptures that are perfectly in accordance with the Hearer Vehicle, it should be understood that the meaning of this verse is shown in a condensed way, and therefore it is not accepted. 'Not accepted' means clinging to things like form with views and desires. View is the way of manifesting attachment. Desire is clinging to things in a way that does not let go, which is acceptance. The Sage is liberated from both of these, and therefore does not accept them. That is because one does not become attached to the nature of things like form, because one has completely abandoned the views of superimposition and denial. Therefore, it is said: 'All that is not accepted by the Sage.'

Above. Relying on the views of superimposition and defamation, two kinds of craving will arise, namely craving for existence and craving for non-existence, which should be combined sequentially. Among them, craving for non-existence arises from seeing things as both existent and non-existent, thus giving rise to seeing and desiring. Craving for existence arises from hearing explicit statements, which is hearing and desiring. Since both lack inherent nature, they are not accepted. To show that the category of superimposition is conventional, it is said: Whatever is imputed is called conventional. One should not cling to the nature of things in the conventional, which shows that there is no view. Therefore, it is said that one does not accept because of that reason. Because one does not accept, one does not grasp anything, meaning that one is not associated with anything. Explaining grasping: through superimposition or defamation, etc., this is the occasion for grasping things. In this way, by abandoning inverted views, one becomes a possessor of right view. Therefore, since one sees the knowable as it is, it is called seeing. Therefore, since one hears the expression of the knowable, it is called hearing. One also does not generate craving, nor does one increase craving. To show the meaning of self-nature, it is said: Abandon that object and abide in a state of equanimity. Not generating means abandoning. Not increasing means abiding in equanimity. It shows the third proof that is fully in accordance with the Hearer Vehicle. Not meditating by relying on earth means saying: What is earth, is that me? Or, what is me, is that earth? In this way, grasping earth as self and belonging to self, and not meditating, this is how it is explained. Similarly, it should also be combined with water, fire, and wind. Similarly, it is explained that one does not meditate by relying on the desire realm and the form realm with the words of the four great elements. The four formless realms are indicated by their own terms. The desire realm is this world.
