Not being lazy is called abiding in the most excellent diligence. Relying on such diligence, Bodhisattvas completely ripen limitless sentient beings, that is the meaning. Now, it is to show how to completely ripen. The verse says: For the sake of a single virtuous thought in another, one will not tire even in a billion eons. This means that for the sake of generating a single virtue such as generosity in a single moment of a sentient being's mind stream, if one sees an opportunity to generate virtue, then even if one goes to all the realms of the world, and even if one spends countless billions of eons, one will not be weary of doing things for sentient beings and going to various places, that is the meaning. This passage explains it this way: Bodhisattvas, through diligence, benefit sentient beings in this life and benefit them in future lives, thereby completely ripening sentient beings, that is the meaning. Among these, causing a single virtuous thought to arise in the minds of sentient beings in this life through diligence is giving benefit in this life. Because of this, causing sentient beings to attain higher realms and Nirvana in future lives is giving benefit in future lives. Starting from what kind of meditation and how to completely ripen sentient beings is called a verse. This is to show that sentient beings are completely ripened through the perfection of meditation, and to show what kind of meditation completely ripens sentient beings, therefore a verse is composed, that is the meaning. What kind of meditation completely ripens sentient beings? Therefore, the verse says: With the mind's unsurpassed empowerment. Here, mind refers to the heart, and heart refers to consciousness, not all consciousnesses, but the consciousness of the mind. Empowerment refers to samadhi, why? Because samadhi can keep the mind from being distracted and keep it focused, so samadhi is called empowerment, obtaining the consciousness of the mind of the Great Vehicle's samadhi, such as the Heroic Progress Samadhi, etc., is called unsurpassed empowerment with the mind. Having practiced samadhi in this way, through the power of samadhi, the miraculous eye and the ear, etc., also the supernatural powers

It is a term that means doing for the benefit of sentient beings. From the phrase "subduing all desires for offerings from others," it means that even the practice of all samadhis and magical powers is not done for the sake of offerings and respect from other sentient beings, but rather to abandon attachment to the offerings and respect from pure sentient beings, and to ripen sentient beings. How does one ripen them? Therefore, it is said, "Also cause them to enter the supreme teaching." It means that by showing the power of magical abilities, such as blazing and flying, one causes other sentient beings to rejoice, be happy, and have faith in the teachings of the Tathagata. Not only that, but to show that there is more to be done, it is said, "They increase all virtuous dharmas." It means that not only does one generate faith in the Buddha's teachings, but also causes them to generate faith and enter into the practice of the six perfections, thus increasing virtuous dharmas. From the question of how one ripens them with what kind of wisdom, the verse is composed: Now, wisdom is shown to ripen sentient beings, and the verse is composed to show how one ripens sentient beings with what kind of wisdom. How does one ripen sentient beings with what kind of wisdom? Therefore, it is said, "Through that reality and recollection." It means to be in accordance with the truth of reality and to be in accordance with the truth of recollection. Among them, the absence of self in the individual and the absence of self in phenomena are called the truth of reality. It means that the Bodhisattva, with his wisdom, makes a decision about this dharma without doubt, which is called being decisive about the truth of reality. Recollecting different meanings, recollecting different times, and the four recollections and the four hidden recollections are called the truth of recollection. It means that being without doubt about these dharmas is called being decisive about the truth of recollection. This verse shows the merit of abiding in the qualities of the collection of self-knowing wisdom. How does one dispel the doubts of sentient beings and ripen them?

Then, therefore, it is said, "It eliminates the doubts of sentient beings to a great extent." Having made oneself free from doubt in this way, and then eliminating the doubts of sentient beings about that one word and way of thinking, making them abide in a state without doubt. In this way, sentient beings are completely matured. This shows that other sentient beings are placed in the assembly of wisdom. Those words are for the sake of concluding, therefore it is said, "Therefore, with reverence towards the teachings of the Victorious One, one's own and others' merits of virtue increase." Because sentient beings are made free from doubt about that one truth and way of thinking, respect, faith, and reverence arise in the teachings of the Buddha Bhagavan. Therefore, that Bodhisattva increases his own merits of virtue, and also increases the merits of virtue of others. How does it increase? Because there is no doubt about that one truth and way of thinking, one's own merits of virtue increase. Because the doubts of other sentient beings are eliminated about that one truth and way of thinking, others also increase in the merits of virtue. In the verse called the conclusion, in the chapter on completely maturing sentient beings, it is extensively explained that sentient beings are completely matured through the six perfections, and now the meaning is summarized, and the verse explaining the meaning of how sentient beings are completely matured in a concise way. Where are sentient beings tamed and matured? Therefore, it is said, "How do the three virtues lead to the good realms?" How, as mentioned above, the meaning of the Bodhisattva completely maturing sentient beings is mentioned above. For those without lineage, let them practice the ten virtues, place them in the good realms of gods and humans, and completely mature them, that is its meaning. Those of the Shravaka lineage, or those of the Pratyekabuddha lineage, or those of the Buddha lineage, let them abide in virtue, these three virtues refer to the three vehicles, for them, those of the Shravaka lineage are placed in the Shravaka vehicle and completely matured. Those of the Pratyekabuddha lineage
