Due to the wisdom that follows the memory of familiar terms, understanding worldly treatises, and the fact that all those who do not understand these name things, such as thinking "this is land" etc., it will be shown that there is a consistency of views. That is because it is known in the world as it is, That is called the truth of worldly fame. The third is the fame of reason. The reason it is called "reason" is because it involves the three natures, therefore, the three natures are established as the truth of the fame of reason. However, this is not known, therefore, in order to show this, it is mentioned "holy people, those skilled in the meaning of reason" etc. Among these, holy people are those who are skilled in the meaning of reason. Logicians are those who have discernment, thinking of the words spoken earlier and then speaking the later words. Or, holy people are those who seek what is virtuous. Those skilled in the meaning of reason are those who are skilled in the meaning that does not contradict the four reasons—dependence, function, rationality, and nature. Logicians are those who are able to reason and refute, and rely on the words of the Tathagata, making the treatises not inverted. Those with discernment are those who have become skilled in their own and others' treatises, and who discern good and bad. Some do not have "those with discernment," because they say, "Who is the holy person called holy?" Therefore, it is mentioned "those skilled in the meaning of reason." These people are also divided into two types, because they abide in the place of logicians and the place of meditation. Therefore, they say that "logicians" are mentioned. Among these people, some follow the fame of the world, therefore, it is mentioned "relying on the three valid cognitions," meaning not contradicting the three valid cognitions. The three valid cognitions are direct perception, inference, and scripture. Among these, direct perception is that which arises from the five senses, and the mind that experiences pleasure and pain etc. The knowledge of the object to be inferred through a sign with three modes is inference. That which is taught by a trustworthy person is scripture, and a trustworthy person is

Those who do not possess the causes of false speech. Or, the reason that is fully established by direct perception, inference, and scripture, and establishing what is to be established by example, establishing it for others by establishing itself, therefore it is said, "relying on the three valid cognitions." Among "things that are famous by the reason of establishing the valid reason," "valid reason" is the method of making what is to be established understood, therefore it is a sign with three characteristics. "Establishing the valid reason" is establishing the valid reason, because it is understood by this, so the sign with three characteristics is spoken. "Reason" is the method, that is, the statement of the three characteristics of the sign of any definite combination. Or, "valid reason" is what cannot be otherwise. "The reason for establishing" is the combination of parts, that is, "the reason for establishing the valid reason," this is the way words are combined. Or, the valid reason itself is the reason for establishing, the words should be combined in this way. In order to distinguish it from other reasons for establishing, "valid reason" is spoken, in this way, relying on the three valid cognitions, anything that is famous by the reason of establishing the valid reason, that is, any of the three natures, is famous by reason. That famous itself has already been said. After that, it is necessary to speak of the completely pure object of experience, therefore it is said, "the very nature of the completely pure object of experience is twofold." How does it become twofold? In order to show that, it is said, "the object of experience of the wisdom that completely purifies the afflictive obscurations and the object of experience of the wisdom that completely purifies the cognitive obscurations." Completely purifying the afflictive obscurations is abandoning the afflictive obscurations, or, is it to completely purify the afflictive obscurations? The wisdom that completely purifies the afflictive obscurations is the wisdom that completely purifies the afflictive obscurations, is it necessary to completely purify the afflictive obscurations? Or, it is its cause, this is the meaning of the word. The object of experience of the wisdom that completely purifies the afflictive obscurations is the meaning of the word "object." Similarly, it should also be said for the object of experience of the wisdom that completely purifies the cognitive obscurations. Among them, the afflictive obscurations are the afflictions and near afflictions that are to be abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of cultivation.
