Therefore, it is unreasonable to consider non-conceptualization as its nature. If not attending to conceptual thought means being non-conceptual, then the consciousness of infants and young children would also become non-conceptual, because they also do not attend to conceptual thought at that time. It is also unreasonable to consider it as the nature of being completely beyond conceptual thought. If that were the nature of being completely beyond, then those who enter into meditative absorption from the second dhyana and so on would also become like that, because without investigation there is no conceptual thought. It is also unreasonable to consider it as the nature of the pacification of conceptual thought. If the pacification of conceptual thought means being non-conceptual, then sleep, intoxication, and fainting would also become like that, because they also do not attend to conceptual thought at that time. Or, if only the meaning of the essence itself is non-conceptual, then objects such as form would also not become conceptual thought, because they are also unmoving, so they do not attend to conceptual thought. It is also unreasonable to consider non-conceptualization itself as the sign of manifestation. Like this is non-conceptualization. If one attends to it as, "This is non-conceptual, this is non-conceptual," then that consciousness will not arise, because attending to it by conceptualizing and speaking of non-conceptualization is also the aspect of conceptual thought. Therefore, it should be understood that that consciousness is liberated from the self-nature of these five aspects. Among them, completely understanding the distinctions is non-conceptualization, as well as being not temporary, as well as being non-abiding, as well as being permanent, as well as being unsurpassed, these five distinct aspects. That consciousness surpasses the actions of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas by these five distinct aspects. Among them, the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, because they conceptualize nirvana and the merits and faults of samsara, therefore their consciousness is also with conceptual thought. It is also temporary, because it only focuses on the general characteristics of the Four Noble Truths. It is also abiding, because it abides in nirvana.

It is also not permanent, because it is taught as nirvana without remainder, as taught in the Sutra of the Raft. It is also supreme, because the wisdom of the Buddha is supreme. In contrast to these, the wisdom of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is superior by five distinctions. Non-discrimination is because neither nirvana nor samsara discriminate between qualities and faults. Not limited is because it makes all knowable things, both their own and common characteristics, as objects as they are. Non-abiding is because neither nirvana nor samsara take or abandon. Constant is because the Dharma body, which is the basis, is constant, so even in nirvana without remainder, the continuum is not cut off. Supreme is because there is nothing more excellent than that. Knowing completely from that is because it distances from discrimination, accomplishes supreme bliss, separates from afflictions and cognitive obscurations, and the wisdom gained from that can enter into all aspects of knowable things, purify the Buddha's field, ripen sentient beings, and initiate omniscience, that is, by the distinction of five kinds of actions. It is said that that wisdom performs five kinds of actions. In this way, it distances from the cause of the manifestation of discrimination, because it has destroyed all arising. It accomplishes supreme bliss, because by understanding all knowable things as they are and as many as they are, it is not mistaken and accomplishes all constant and excellent bliss. It obtains freedom from afflictions and cognitive obscurations, because even subtle habitual tendencies are completely destroyed. The wisdom that is obtained after non-discrimination, with its own characteristics as its object, can also enter into all aspects of knowable things. It can also purify the Buddha's field, ripen sentient beings, and initiate omniscience. In that, entering into attention, one wants to enter into non-discrimination in any way.
