You are neither one nor separate, that has already been said. However, since there is no such difference, how does one enter that Dharma, or how can one enter it well? It is said: Entering the Dharma in six ways is unsurpassed, and the six ways that will be explained are: by entering into the nature, accomplishment, neither one nor different, common place, uncommon place, and the absence of the appearance of grasper and grasped. Among these, nature, accomplishment, neither one nor different, are as stated in the sutra. These three should be understood as stated in the sutra, namely: nature, accomplishment, neither one nor different. Nature is twofold, and how it appears to be expressed is not the true pervasive imputation, it is the nature of Dharma. Accomplishment is that if either existence or non-existence is lacking, it would lead to the fault of confusion, non-confusion, pervasive defilement, and purification being unreasonable. Therefore, acknowledging both of these accomplishes the accomplishment including the result. Neither one nor different refers to the difference and non-difference between existence and non-existence, as stated in the sutra. Place refers to where something abides, that is not the place, but the realm of sentient beings and the realm of the world. Among these, what revolves and where it revolves, that is the place of Dharma. That is also, in order, the support and the nature of the support, the things are the realm of sentient beings and the realm of the world. Among these, the realm of the world is like a common consciousness, because in each individual continuum, all sentient beings give rise to the consciousness that appears there. The other is the realm of sentient beings. That is also common and uncommon. Among these, birth, terms, benefit, harm, qualities, and faults are common because they are mutually dominant and therefore mutual causes. Terms such as birth and views, benefit, harm, qualities, and faults that exist in each individual continuum are mutual.

Because the arising of manifest consciousness is mutually caused by the very owner, it is said that the realm of sentient beings is common. The statement "because it is a mutual cause" mentions the owner even though it is established, in order to clarify the cause of the object. If this is not common, what is it like? It is said: Abode, consciousness, action, pleasure and pain, death and transmigration, birth, bondage, and liberation are not common, therefore they are not common. Among them, the abode is the alaya consciousness, because the predispositions of the consciousness that appears there reside in it. Consciousness is the entering consciousness. Action is virtuous, non-virtuous, and neutral. The rest should be understood as in the sutra. Among them, the abode and so on are not embodied, and because they are to be known separately, they are not the cause of the arising of manifest consciousness in each other's continuum, so it is said that the realm of sentient beings is not common. If the consciousness of body and speech actions are mutually the cause of the arising of manifest consciousness, why are they not summarized by terminology? It is said: Although the consciousness of body and speech is summarized by terminology, it is not the consciousness of action. Here, it is taught that one should understand what makes virtue and non-virtue themselves become the very action itself. That manifest consciousness is also not the cause of the arising of manifest consciousness mutually, therefore the consciousness of body and speech actions is also not common. Entering into the absence of apprehended and apprehender appearances means entering into the absence of apprehender appearances, therefore, speaking with the absence of apprehender appearances as the main focus: For the consciousness of grasping that appears as a common external object, there is no external object apart from consciousness, because it is common. The reason for saying this is that the consciousness that appears as the vessel realm, the very grasping consciousness, arises in each individual continuum. For that which has become the grasping consciousness, apart from the manifest consciousness, it becomes the external object, becomes the grasping consciousness.
