If it is the same as the horns of a non-existent rabbit, etc., it will contradict the valid means such as direct perception. Therefore, it is said, "Great wisdom," etc. Just as children regard external objects and real things as real, non-birth is the same as the horns of a rabbit, etc. Otherwise, the completely severed characteristics of the completely imputed would also become other-powered. Previously, in terms of names, the completely imputed also becomes other-powered, because it is a name or a dependent completely imputed, so there is no contradiction. Because of the distinction, the meaning of "because" here is that in the way of such distinction, all things are unborn. It is not a reason or for a purpose. Therefore, birth, etc., are established by valid means, and are the objects of awareness of each noble one, the other-powered nature of the mind's awareness arises like an illusion. It is not born in the way that children truly understand the objects of the two, the grasped and the grasper, because that is also unreasonable in true conventional truth. "Great wisdom," etc., are taught to abandon perversion. It is the nature of the appearance of the place, the characteristic, and the basis is the same. Entering into the nature of the grasped and the grasper is as previously stated. Falling into duality means that it has the three characteristics of conditioned phenomena, and on top of that, it falls into the aspect of clinging to the two, the grasped and the grasper, as real. You should strive for this. It means that the inverted view is the cause of bondage, so in order to abandon such a view, one should strive. Great wisdom, also, etc., refers to cultivating with the vehicle of the path, showing the classification of the cause of the near attainment of obtaining nirvana, that is, the lineage. For those who have no lineage, how can one say that there is a lineage that will be realized? That is also the lineage that will realize the vehicle of gods and Brahma, so it is taught in that way. No lineage means no lineage of liberation. Realizing the vehicle also means that the vehicle of the path and the fruit are realized in a self-aware way, and will be obtained.

It is like this. Among them, the Śrāvakayāna lineage is to understand that the aggregates and so on are empty of self in terms of their own and common characteristics, and thereby quickly show oneself to be liberated from the suffering of existence. To this, with faith and understanding, the body's hairs stand on end, and their mind focuses on the characteristics of the aggregates and so on, understanding and becoming accustomed to the meaning of the emptiness of the person, entering into this wisdom, which is a distinction of practice. Other than that, they do not have faith in or practice the meaning of profound dependent origination, and that all is one mind, and that it is also emptiness, being of one taste. The difference in their results is that, with such a view of realization, in the sixth and fifth grounds, they completely abandon all arising afflictions and so on. The five or six grounds refer to the grounds of those lineages, as well as the eighth ground, the ground of seeing, the ground of thinning, the ground of detachment from desire, these five; or, also, between the ground of realizing what has been done and the sixth ground, as appropriate, they abandon all arising afflictions and so on that are to be abandoned by the path of seeing and the path of meditation. These six are also determined in order as the Śrāvakayāna lineage, that is, up to the great forbearance, as well as entering the stream-enterer's fruit, abiding in that fruit, once-returner and non-returner, detachment from desire in the desire realm, obtaining the knowledge of knowing exhaustion and non-arising, the Arhats and so on, should be related to this, as explained in the commentary on the Prajñāpāramitā. Here, it is said that from the great forbearance onwards, it is determined as that lineage, because "Two learning lineages turn from that, becoming Buddhas and the other three." Therefore, it is said that even up to the third forbearance in the decisive division, it is possible that due to causes such as virtuous friends, they may turn from their own lineage and become solitary Buddhas, therefore it is not determined as that lineage. The so-called "My birth is exhausted" means, knowing that all contaminated things are exhausted, and thereby, the remainder of the aggregates born in existence is only this much, there is no other taking, therefore it is exhausted. The so-called "Abiding in pure conduct" means, being free from faults, as it is said, pure conduct possessing four qualities.
