Whatever is rescued from a state of non-virtue is called the initial help. For example, no matter how large or small, no matter what kind, filth cannot be made fragrant, this fifth example is a close representation. For example, in the world, filth, whether large or small, will never become a fragrant object. Therein, filth is shown as an example of the suffering of conditioned existence, and fragrance is shown as an example of nirvana. Similarly, beings, because of the suffering of conditioned existence, and because their very nature is suffering, no matter what means are used, even if they are temporarily helped with material things, they cannot achieve happiness. Only by abiding in virtue can one obtain the name of the supreme of initial help, this sixth is the combination of example and meaning. Just like that, beings, because of the suffering of conditioned existence, and because their very nature is suffering, merely helping with wealth, food, and drink will not turn into happiness. Only by abiding in the nirvana of bodhi, in the abundance of virtuous dharma, that alone is called the supreme of help, this is the concluding word. The Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara again said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, how many aspects do those perfections have? This from here on is the ninth, showing the door of enumerating the purities of the perfections. This is also shown in two ways, by asking and answering. This is asking for the sake of purifying the six perfections. The Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara: Son of good family, I never say that there are other purities of the perfections other than the four and five characteristics mentioned above, etc., this is the second part showing the Tathagata's true answer. This also has two ways: first, showing that purity is not separate from the previous five; second, summarizing based on the five; third, showing the names of seven different ones.

This is the first. Like this, from "I am not previously formed" to "for the sake of complete dedication," the five characteristics, apart from these five characteristics, it is not said that there are other completely pure characteristics, this is the summary. However, also use those things to summarize, relying on each, the pure characteristics of the other shore will be explained, like this and so on, is the second, the five characteristics rely on the previous to summarize, and show seven each. This is also two ways: relying on the previous five characteristics to summarize, and briefly saying the answers of the seven each, and summarizing in order, showing the seven individual characteristics, this is the first. Among them, "those things" refers to showing the things of the other shore as "those things," like this, each of those other shores, also summarizes each, and there are seven each. Among them, the summary of the pure characteristics of all the other shores, also need to know that there are seven kinds, like this and so on, shows the second to explain separately in order. This is also divided into two ways: showing seven summarizing characteristics, and showing seven individual characteristics. The first also has two ways: briefly saying the number, and asking questions, and using answers to separate and show, this is the first, saying seven characteristics. What are the seven? Bodhisattvas do not seek knowledge benefits obtained through those dharmas from other places, like this and so on, is the second question, and using answers to separate and explain the seven characteristics, this is showing the first characteristic. Like this, the Bodhisattva is secret, because by practicing the six perfections, after making others know, he does not seek fame and profit. Not clinging to those dharmas, this is the second, showing the characteristic of non-attachment, because the three wheels are completely pure. Each of the six perfections also has three completely pure, this is translated in the commentary of the Mahayana Samgraha.

It is shown more widely from the scope. Are these dharmas able to attain great Bodhi or not? Do not generate the thought of whether it is or is not, and doubt, this is called the third characteristic of not generating doubt, it is for the sake of showing faith. Not praising oneself, not slandering others, and not being jealous of others, this is called the characteristic of not praising oneself and not slandering others, because it will become a heavy offense. Not being arrogant and not being negligent, this is called the fifth characteristic of not being negligent, because it is away from laziness. Not thinking that just a little bit or a little bit of bad things is enough, this is called the sixth characteristic of not thinking it is enough, because practicing vast behaviors, and completely without being tired. Not being stingy with these dharmas, and not being jealous of others, this is called the seventh characteristic of not being jealous and stingy, because Bodhisattvas themselves practice the Dharma, if they see others also practicing, they will not be troubled by stinginess and jealousy, and will not be stingy with the Dharma. It also shows the characteristics of the purity of the Paramitas, each different, there are also seven kinds, this below is the second display of each different characteristic. This also has two kinds, briefly stating the number, and showing the seven characteristics of the six Paramitas with questions and answers, this is the first briefly stating the number. Which seven? For example, how do Bodhisattvas truly follow and practice the seven kinds of pure characteristics, just like what is shown, etc., this is the second showing the seven characteristics of the six Paramitas with questions and answers. This is also just showing the six Paramitas, it is divided into six kinds, this is the first showing the characteristic of giving. This also has three kinds, a brief display of Bodhisattvas generating seven kinds of pure characteristics, and separately showing the seven kinds of characteristics, and summarizing the explanation of the seven kinds of characteristics, this is the first general
