I (referring to the author). In the Lang's translation of the commentary on the treatise *Compendium on the Great Vehicle*, it is explained in two ways: The first is in accordance with what is said in this sutra itself. The second is in accordance with what is stated in the commentary on the *Compendium on the Great Vehicle* composed by the teacher Asanga. In the *Explanation of the Ten Stages*, it says: Because neither gods, demons, Brahma, ascetics, nor Brahmins can move him from his tutelary deity, it is called the "Immovable Stage." In the treatise *Treatise on the Establishment of Consciousness Only*, it says: Because the self-nature and function of non-conceptual wisdom are not interrupted, and it is not moved by the afflictions of the effort of characteristics. Because in all aspects one has obtained the power to teach the Dharma without hindrance, and has obtained extremely vast wisdom, therefore the ninth stage is called the "Stage of Good Wisdom," which is the explanation of the ninth stage, Good Wisdom. "Defect" refers to fault, obstacle, and ignorance. Thus, on this stage, one has obtained the power to teach various Dharmas in all aspects, and has obtained unobstructed and vast wisdom, and that wisdom is extremely virtuous, therefore it is called "Good Wisdom." The *Sutra Unraveling the Knots* and the *Sutra Unraveling the Profound Meaning* also accord with what is said in this sutra. In the *Noble Sutra Requested by the Human King*, it is explained in conjunction with the light of wisdom. Therefore, in the verses of that sutra, it says: "The one who illuminates with wisdom, the king of the third dhyana, can illuminate thousands of worlds in an instant." In the *Noble Golden Light Sutra*, it says: Because one thoroughly understands the three aggregates of sentient beings as they truly are, and follows that wisdom, it is called "Good Wisdom." The *Noble Buddhavatamsaka Sutra* also proclaims this. In the *Explanation of the Ten Stages*, it says: By the power of individual correct wisdom, one fully accomplishes the teaching of the Dharma in order to benefit others. In the treatise *Ornament of the Sutras*, it says: On the ninth stage, one has particularly excellent wisdom of the four individual

In the great trichiliocosm, various beings such as gods and humans, with various different moments, ask the Bodhisattva various different questions. The Bodhisattva answers many questions simultaneously with one voice and cuts off many doubts, therefore it is called "Good Intelligence." The *Mahāyānasaṃgraha* states that it is for the sake of attaining the excellent individual perfect knowledge. In the commentary composed by Master Vasubandhu, it says that the individual perfect knowledge of this level is called intelligence, and because intelligence is extremely virtuous, it is called "Good Intelligence." In the commentary by Master Asaṅga, it says that having attained the excellent knowledge of the four individual perfect knowledges, it becomes the most excellent among the individual perfect knowledges, and because knowledge itself is intelligence, it is called "Good Intelligence." Among them, the four individual perfect knowledges are eloquence, individual perfect knowledge, and so on. Among them, by gaining mastery over the individual perfect knowledge of the Dharma, one will comprehend all names and words. By gaining mastery over the individual perfect knowledge of meaning, one will thoroughly understand the nature of all meanings. By gaining mastery over the individual perfect knowledge of definitive words, one will become skilled in distinguishing all sounds. With the individual perfect knowledge of eloquence, one teaches with the eloquence of having mastery in all ten directions. Because one initially attains the previously unattained individual perfect knowledge on this level, it is called "Good Intelligence." The commentary on the *Ārya-Daśabhūmika-sūtra* states that the wisdom becomes increasingly clear and becomes very gentle, therefore it is called "Good Intelligence." The *Vijñaptimātratāsiddhi* states that because of the complete accomplishment of the extremely abundant

Just as it is pervaded and covered by great clouds, therefore, the tenth bhumi is called the Dharma Cloud Bhumi, which is an explanation of the tenth bhumi, the Dharma Cloud. Thus, the seeds that are completely stained by clinging to self and dharma are called the place of what is and is not because they are unusable. Because it obscures the two kinds of emptiness and the meaning of selflessness, it is said in the sutra to be like the sky. These ten bhumis are complete with the Dharmakaya of the ten kinds of Dharmadhatu, just like great clouds. The manifestation of the Dharmadhatu is the perfection of the Dharmakaya, and the Dharmakaya arising from meditation covers the place of what is and is not, which is like the sky, so it is called the Dharma Cloud. The Sutra of Liberation from Boundaries says that the faults like the sky are completely pervaded by the Dharmakaya like great clouds. The Profound Meaning Liberation Sutra says that the body arising from the faults of sentient beings is like the sky, and the Dharmakaya of the Tathagata is like a great cloud, pervading the realm of sentient beings and appearing to teach the Dharma. The Sutra Requested by King Mi says that it is the Abhisheka Bhumi. Therefore, it is said in the verses of that sutra: The Abhisheka Bodhisattva, the king of the four dhyanas, liberates many sentient beings in hundreds of thousands of Ganges sands lands. The Holy Golden Light Sutra says that the Dharmakaya is like the sky, and wisdom is like a great cloud, covering and pervading everything. The Notebook of the Teacher's True Vow says that the sky is a metaphor for the three kinds of suchness. Thus, the sky also has three meanings: First, the conventional truth is a metaphor for the Svabhavikakaya, because it does not obscure samsara. Second, the infinite is a metaphor for the extremely clear Dharmakaya, although it is extremely clear, it is not ultimate, so like the sky, there are places that are completely pure, and there are also places with dust and dirt, such as.
