Union, benefiting sentient beings, armor, Associating with bodhisattva companions who desire to benefit, pleasing virtuous friends, directly contemplating the Tathagata, upholding the sacred Dharma, truly focusing on the inexhaustible treasury, entering, strength, antidote, action, dedicating to following, is called the summary. Among these, the first is intention. There are also three types: the intention to make offerings to the Tathagata, the intention to fulfill completely, such as "Past Buddhas," etc. With the supreme offering that has become an offering, all the Buddhas, Bhagavan, etc., who have passed away and entered nirvana, and all those who currently reside in various realms of the ten directions, benefiting beings by living and dwelling, and being the cause of supreme bliss, may all of them likewise become offerings. May those who will appear in the future also quickly fulfill their thoughts and attain the enlightenment of the Buddha. The first half is the intention to make offerings to the Tathagata. The latter half shows the complete fulfillment of intention. What is the intention of purifying the Buddha-fields that is spoken of? Such as "In all ten directions," etc. What is meant by "however many" is that all the Buddha-fields in the ten directions are pure and vast like Sukhavati, and may they dwell separately and extensively in immeasurable realms. What is meant by "Victorious Ones who have gone to the Bodhi Tree King" is that the Buddhas, Bhagavan, etc., who dwell before the Bodhi Tree King are also filled by bodhisattvas, equally and continuously pervading. What is the intention of giving happiness to sentient beings that is spoken of? Such as "However many sentient beings in the ten directions," etc. All the sentient beings of the six realms gathered by the four births in the realms of the ten directions, may they manifest happiness with the supreme, undefiled bliss, and may they also be without diseases of body and mind.

May it always be continuous. May they also obtain gains that are in accordance with the merits of having the Dharma. May all beings always be perfect with only the thought of having the Dharma. Now, with four verses revealing the abandonment of unfavorable aspects, the two ways of not forgetting the mind of enlightenment are explained, starting from "Those who practice enlightenment" and ending with "May all be completely purified." Enlightenment refers to the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Practice for the sake of that is the practice of enlightenment. May what I have practiced, having realized it, never be forgotten in all beings. In all lifetimes, during death, transmigration, and birth, it means that even at the time of death and birth, may I always be ordained. The state in between birth and death should be observed in terms of meaning. This is the first cause of not forgetting the mind of enlightenment. May I learn after all the Victors, and so on. Here, learning the teachings of all the Buddhas who reside in the three times is the practice of the Good. Accomplishing the complete practice of the Good means being perfectly complete. How should it be done? May I always practice pure, stainless, and completely pure conduct of discipline, without deterioration and without fault. Just as a wish-fulfilling jewel, because it is not stained by sudden dirt, it is stainless, and because it is not stained by faults like rust, it is completely pure by nature. Therefore, it is undiminished and without fault, fulfilling all desires, completely pacifying all suffering, eliminating all diseases, preventing untimely death, and solely engaging in accomplishing the perfect benefit of others. Similarly, here too, the discipline of a Bodhisattva is like a precious jewel, because it is free from the sudden defilements of karma and afflictions, it is stainless, and because it is free from the faults like rust of the mind of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. If it does not exist, it will not arise.
