It shows the measure of quantity. The term "whoever" refers to the things that should be counted, meaning how many Tathagatas, whoever, is the end of this phrase. In order to express these completely, "ten directions" are mentioned, meaning in the ten directions. The term "world" refers to the container world, meaning that in all the Buddha fields of the ten directions, wherever the Tathagatas reside. Even this is not enough to express it completely, so the second distinction is: "The gone of the three times, all lions among men." This is saying that it is a phrase summarizing the three times. If someone thinks that even though the three times have been mentioned, it is only expressing the summarized three times by mentioning the majority, then the word "all" also makes a distinction. Therefore, what is ultimately expressed is that all the Tathagatas who summarize the three times in the ten directions reside. The term "lion among men" means that the reason why the Tathagatas are Tathagatas is because they also became humans, and it is only because they have attained the nature of the Tathagata that they are not Tathagatas, which is to make people happy. Lions in the world are not overwhelmed by all creatures, and it is said that all creatures can be overwhelmed by lions, similarly, the Tathagatas are not overwhelmed by foreign and refuting beasts, and they can overwhelm everything, like lions, showing that they are lions. In order to show that I prostrate to all the Tathagatas who have no limitations in time and space, it is said: "I prostrate to all of them completely." The term "all" is to not omit any one, so it is said "all," in order to completely avoid the kind of situation that is said in the secular world, "not harvesting a single one." Moreover, prostration is not done only with the body. Then, what is it done with? It is also done with speech and mind. Among them, prostration with the body, in general, refers to bowing the head and joining the palms with devotion, as well as prostrating with all five limbs. Prostration with speech is first
