To show that one should not be attached to Ishvara and others. Like, "The forms created by illusionists, such as snakes, horses, elephants, and various vehicles." Similarly, to prove that sons and wives, etc., are merely false fabrications. As stated in "Like a young girl's dream," a young girl who has never experienced the pleasure of desire sees in the end of her dream the birth of a son adorned with all characteristics and of beautiful form. That son also reaches the prime of youth, adorned with all qualities. Afterwards, she sees him die, rejoicing at the birth of the son and grieving at not seeing him after death, but there is neither birth nor death. At the beginning and the end, the joy and sorrow of ignorant beings are like a young girl seeing the birth and death of a son in a dream. The meaning of "Like the moon in the water at night" and so on is also easy to understand. Like, "Like the sun at midday in Saga," when the sun at the end of the month of Saga (Tibetan fourth month) reaches midday, the shimmering heat haze appears as a mass of water, caused by the intense and hot rays of the sun falling from the hot ground. Thirsty and tormented, wanting to drink water, thinking there is water here, they run desperately, but the more they run, the mirage seems to recede further and further, until they are exhausted, thirsty, and tormented by the heat, and cannot find even a drop of water, because it simply does not exist. How can they hope to drink it? Beings blinded by ignorance and craving run in the same way. Therefore, this is to prove that the aggregate of consciousness is without inherent existence. Now, to explain that the aggregate of formation is without inherent existence and without essence. As stated in "Like the trunk of a wet water tree," wanting to examine the heartwood of a water tree, peeling off all the bark, one sees nothing inside or outside that could be called heartwood. Similarly, for the discriminations of the aggregate of formation,
