"Ba" means to be close. There, the path of tranquility and insight is accomplished, it is merely discrimination. True transcendence is also fully shown by the difference of karma. Because the Bodhisattva who abides on this seventh ground, the karma of his body is immeasurable and without characteristics, the karma of his speech is immeasurable and without characteristics, the karma of his mind is immeasurable and without characteristics, and it is extremely completely subdued, illuminated by the tolerance of non-arising Dharma. Thus it is said. Here, the samadhi itself is without characteristics. The karma of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, even if it has become without characteristics, is not immeasurable because there is no activity to benefit all sentient beings. After that, in order to show that immeasurability surpasses other Bodhisattva grounds, it is said that the conduct of behavior is complete and extremely completely subdued, and illuminated by the tolerance of non-arising Dharma. The example of the king's son shows the difference of true transcendence on this ground, because he abides in the ultimate practice of complete practice, so he abides in the awareness of his own realm. Because the Bodhisattva Liberation Moon said: 'Wonderful! Son of the Buddha! The Bodhisattva who abides on the first Bodhisattva ground, the immeasurable body of body, speech, and mind, is it not truly transcendent of the conduct of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas?' The Bodhisattva Vajra Treasury said: 'Wonderful! Son of the Buddha! It is so, but this is only due to the greatness of the supreme focus on the Buddha's Dharma, not due to one's own wisdom discrimination.' On this seventh Bodhisattva ground, because one has obtained the object of one's own wisdom, it cannot be taken away by all Hearers and Solitary Buddhas. Wonderful! Son of the Buddha! For example, a king's son born into a royal family and possessing the name of a king, overwhelms all ministers with the blessing of the king, not with his own wisdom discrimination. When he grows up, his own wisdom

whose power increases, far exceeds all that ministers can do. O son of the king, similarly, as soon as a Bodhisattva generates the mind of enlightenment, merely by the greatness of the superior intention, he overwhelms all the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. It is not through his own intelligence that he discriminates. A Bodhisattva who dwells on the seventh Bodhisattva ground, because he dwells in knowing his own realm, far exceeds the activities of all Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Thus it is said. Since immeasurable actions of body, etc., are mentioned, it should be known that not only is it immeasurable in quantity, but also immeasurable in power, in order to distinguish this point. O son of the king, thus a Bodhisattva, when dwelling on the seventh Bodhisattva ground, also obtains the profound, solitary, and unmoving actions of body, speech, and mind, and does not abandon the effort to seek upwards. Thus it is said. Because it has been long, it is profound. Because the obstacles that are contrary to it have been abandoned, it is solitary. Because it is not like that, it transcends the world, and because it does not move in the realm of the world, it is unmoving. The activities of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, although they are separated from those characteristics, are not like that, and because they no longer seek upwards, they only dwell there. Thus, because of completely transcending the ground, after showing the fruit of the path of union, because of dwelling on the true edge, and because of not directly realizing cessation, therefore not abandoning existence, thereby showing the difference of dwelling. Because the Bodhisattva Liberation Moon said: O son of the king, on which ground above does the Bodhisattva enter into cessation. The Bodhisattva Vajragarbha said: O son of the king, the Bodhisattva enters into cessation above the sixth Bodhisattva ground, the Bodhisattva who dwells on the seventh Bodhisattva ground, even in every moment of thought, enters into cessation, but it cannot be said that he has directly realized cessation. Therefore, it should be said that he possesses inconceivable actions of body, speech, and mind. O son of the king,
