The words "The guide of the ten powers of action should not be sought" means to be free from its obstacles. Because of the "density of demons," the words that go on the path of refutation mean to be free from the path. "Stirred by the crocodiles of various kinds of discrimination" means that the nature of the mind and mental events of the three realms should be understood as discrimination. From here on, it is a great display of how the appearance of great love arises. Why? Because sentient beings are so tormented by suffering, without protectors, without friends, without refuge, without place, without foundation, without support, having become blind, the eggshell of ignorance and the egg membrane are oppressed by darkness, for the sake of those, being one and indivisible, how can the accumulation of merit and wisdom cause those sentient beings to attain the ultimate purity, even to the point of attaining the wisdom of the power of the ten powers without attachment? In this way, one should accumulate the accumulation of merit and wisdom. Thus it is said. Among them, those who are so tormented by suffering are as mentioned before. Without a protector means that there is no one to liberate them from it. That without a protector, for those who have become suffering and those who have not become suffering, should be understood as two: without friends and without refuge. Because of being separated from relying on a noble person, it is without a place. Because of being separated from hearing the Dharma, it is without a foundation. Because of being separated from proper attention, it is without support. Because of being separated from correct view, it has become blind. The opposites of these, the inherent and the sudden improper attention, and being endowed with hearing non-Dharma, etc., for the sake of those whose eggshell of ignorance and egg membrane are oppressed by darkness. Being one and indivisible, the extensive explanation is to show the difference of that diligence. Accumulating the accumulation of merit and wisdom means to show the cause of higher rebirth and definite goodness. Utterly pure means superior to worldly purity.

It is for the sake of doing this. The so-called "power of the ten powers" is for defeating its enemy, the demon. The so-called "ultimate of unattached wisdom" is to distinguish it from the purity of the Hearers. Therefore, with such thoroughly investigated wisdom, with the intention of manifest realization, whether it is giving, loving speech, beneficial action, or acting in accordance with the Dharma, or any creation of virtuous roots, it is all for the sake of saving all sentient beings. The so-called "creation" means vast arising, in which "manifest realization with thoroughly investigated wisdom" means being controlled by the wisdom of thoroughly distinguishing and investigating. The so-called "saving all sentient beings" means liberating them from suffering. And this saving should also be understood in nine ways: wanting to place those who are in non-virtue in virtue, which is what is said, "for the benefit of all sentient beings"; wanting those who are in virtue to obtain its fruit, which is what is said, "for the happiness of all sentient beings"; gathering the impoverished with resources, which is what is said, "loving-kindness for all sentient beings"; pacifying diseases and diseases inflicted by others, and mixtures, which is what is said, "without hatred for all sentient beings"; liberating those bound in samsara from it, which is what is said, "completely liberating all sentient beings," which are four ways; leading non-Buddhists into the sacred Dharma, which is what is said, "cooling all sentient beings"; generating certainty in those who have doubts, which is what is said, "making all sentient beings have faith"; leading those without doubts into the three trainings, which is what is said, "taming all sentient beings"; causing those who have been placed there to obtain the two types of nirvana, which is what is said, "striving to completely liberate all sentient beings from suffering." Among these nine statements of completely saving from suffering, the first two are about the benefit of future lives, and the rest are about the benefit of this life. What follows is the special result of practicing the path of non-abiding nirvana, which is the excellence of completely upholding qualities.
