And change, and by generating irreversible power, it is uninterrupted. Offering to the Tathagata and diligently performing service, and also being diligent in the Dharma, this is the offering of wealth and respect, and it demonstrates the offering of practice. These ten practices thoroughly distinguish the two perfections: the perfection of intention is through faith, compassion, and love. The perfection of action is through generosity, non-discouragement, scriptures, worldly knowledge, shame, embarrassment, generating steadfast strength, offering to the Tathagata, and performing service. Among these, beginning for one's own benefit is faith, believing and desiring that the conduct of Bodhisattvas and the Dharmas of the Buddhas possess existence itself and ability itself. Beginning for the benefit of others is compassion and love, with the intention of benefit and happiness. Generosity is the action of gathering others with wealth. Non-discouragement is the action of gathering excellence. Scriptural knowledge and worldly knowledge are the actions of gathering others with Dharma. The remaining ones are three actions for the sake of completely protecting these seven: shame and embarrassment, because they do not accept aspects that are not in accordance with faith, etc., are actions of non-acceptance; generating steadfast strength, because they cannot be moved from faith, etc., are actions of non-movement; offering to the Buddha and performing service, because they completely hold the root of faith, etc., are actions of holding the place where those roots are completely purified. Among these, with two offerings, two bodies are made to manifestly accomplish; among these, the vast is, therefore, what should be manifestly walked. The mind being capable is, therefore, naturally delighting in virtuous Dharmas. From what is called the power of faith, etc., to always, without interruption, completely seeking distinctions from above to above, the first thirty are completely trained extensively. The last of faith, etc., offering to the Buddha and performing service, these are completely in brief.

It should be understood that practice is superior. How is it superior through the distinction of practice? Because, one who abides in the Joyful Ground of a Bodhisattva has great visions, and through the power of aspiration, many Buddhas appear. With great visions and the power of aspiration, many hundreds of thousands of Buddhas, many thousands of Buddhas, many hundreds of thousands of Buddhas, many hundreds of millions of Buddhas, many billions of thousands of Buddhas, many billions of hundreds of thousands of Buddhas, many billions of thousands of thousands of Buddhas, many billions of hundreds of thousands of Buddhas, many billions of hundreds of millions of Buddhas appear. Having seen those Tathāgatas, Arhats, Perfectly Awakened Buddhas, they attend to them with great respect and superior intention. They honor them, depict them, make offerings to them, and offer them robes, food, bedding, medicine for the sick, and other necessities. They also closely attend to the Bodhisattva's comfortable conduct. They also make proper assemblies for the Sangha, and dedicate those roots of virtue to unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. By making offerings to those Buddhas, the Bhagavat, the task of maturing sentient beings is universally born, and sentient beings are matured through the objects of gathering, generosity, and loving speech. Through the power of his faith, the other two objects of gathering also increase, but it is not that discrimination does not arise at all. Among the ten perfections, his perfection of generosity is the most excellent, but it is not that he does not strive to properly cultivate the remaining perfections as much as he can. In whatever way he makes offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and diligently engages in maturing sentient beings, and properly takes up and abides in these dharmas of purifying the ground, in that way, he dedicates all the roots of virtue to omniscience, and those roots of virtue become even more purified, completely purified, and what

it will become workable. O sons of the royal family, for example, just as a skilled blacksmith refines gold by burning it in a fire to make utensils, it becomes very pure, completely clean, and can be worked with at will. O sons of the royal family, similarly, Bodhisattvas, just as they make offerings to the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, strive to fully ripen sentient beings, and truly take and abide in these teachings of purifying the realms, just so, when they dedicate all their roots of virtue to omniscience, those roots of virtue become very pure, completely clean, and can be worked with at will. Thus it was said. In this way, four kinds of distinctions of the benefits of the fruit are shown, namely, workability is a distinction of the benefits of the fruit, entry is a distinction of the benefits of the fruit, complete maturation is a distinction of the benefits of the fruit of upholding, and knowing aspirations is a distinction of the benefits of the fruit. Among them, workability is a distinction of the benefits of the fruit, which should be understood by analogy with gold utensils. Like gold utensils, it refers to any virtuous qualities such as faith. Like burning in fire, it refers to three kinds of placement: placing in the field of merit by making offerings to the Buddha and the Sangha; placing in the field of compassion by striving to fully ripen sentient beings; and placing in the unsurpassed fruit by fully dedicating to Bodhi. Among them, the vast sight refers to seeing the form body through special miraculous power. The power of aspiration refers to seeing the Dharma body through inner, true aspiration. Because skillful means show a great multitude, the numbers are mentioned from "called hundreds of thousands of Buddhas" up to "called billions of hundreds of thousands of kotis of Buddhas." Serving with respect is of three kinds: serving with respect by honoring is praising and extolling its qualities. Respect refers to speaking separately and prostrating, etc. Serving with respect through offerings refers to flowers and incense, etc.
