What are the activities? They are the activity of showing perfect complete enlightenment, the activity of showing the truth, the activity of the instructions for attainment, the activity of showing various dharmas, the activity of not cutting off the lineage of the Buddha, the activity of maintaining the system of the Dharma, and the activity of empowerment. Among them, the first activity should be understood as being no different from the path of ordinary people, such as arising in the birth of all ordinary mothers. The expression "in one Jambudvipa and simultaneously in all Jambudvipas" is a term. Jambudvipa is called the path of ordinary people because it is the most excellent place for taming those who are to be tamed. The second activity is that, except for those who are not idle, due to the power of the great Buddha-field and following wisdom, in other world realms, according to the wishes of all those to be tamed, the Buddha appears, and in the leisure of the Buddha's appearance, those who are born there cause suffering to be realized, create the fourth existence, attain cessation, and show the path, it should be understood. The third activity is to realize one manifestation, and to believe that all dharmas are naturally in nirvana in the aspect of the selflessness of dharmas, it should be understood. The fourth activity is to say one sentence and make the minds of those to be tamed with different inclinations understand at once. The fifth activity is to show the great complete nirvana and then continuously practice the power of practice, it should be understood. The sixth activity is to show all the pure dharmas such as sutras from the ground of the Buddha's wisdom, it should be understood. The seventh activity is to make all dharmas appear through the clairvoyance of Dharma knowledge, and to still hold one's own body, abide, die and be reborn as one wishes through the clairvoyance of magical power, and to transform external objects as one wishes through the clairvoyance of illusion, it should be understood. With one clairvoyance of Dharma knowledge, one will not abide in samsara. The two clairvoyances of magical power and the clairvoyance of illusion will not lead to the solitary path of peace.

Then, why are there only ten great aspirations? First, it should be known that it is to perfect the accumulation of merit. Second, it is to perfect the accumulation of wisdom. Fifth, it is to ripen all sentient beings, that is, what kind of basis, what kind of mind, which sentient beings, where they dwell, and where they dwell and then ripen. Third, it is the difference of the master, and the ultimate of the bodhisattva ground, and the ultimate of all, which also truly shows such ripening. Among them, aspiration is to manifest the meaning of desire. Diligence is the means to achieve it. Manifest realization should be known as achieving it, staying on this ground, these three are realized sequentially, and it should be known that it is not simultaneous. Each of these ten great aspirations should also be known to have countless hundreds of thousands of retinues, why? O sons of the Victorious Ones, such great aspirations, and great diligence, and the ten doors of great manifest realization, etc., fulfill hundreds of thousands of countless aspirations, because those bodhisattvas who dwell on the bodhisattva ground of extreme joy realize them. Therefore, because the roots of virtue are extremely pure and abundant, they are called great aspirations. The special intention of the bodhisattva surpasses the intention of the hearers and others in two ways: it is extremely pure and abundant, and it is common to all sentient beings. That commonality is also shown by the ultimate places, why? Those aspirations are also realized in ten places without limit, what are the ten? Namely: the limit of the sentient being realm, the limit of the world realm, the limit of the space realm, the limit of the dharma realm, the limit of the nirvana realm, the limit of the buddha arising realm, the limit of the tathagata's wisdom realm.
