Like the conduct of a Bodhisattva, showing the path of the Bodhisattva's ground as it is, in order to fully train in the perfections, the great aspiration is manifested. For example, all sentient beings without exception, whether they are with form, without form, with perception, without perception, neither with nor without perception, and those born from eggs, born from wombs, born from moisture and heat, born miraculously, belonging to the three realms, gathered in the six realms, belonging to all births, all sentient beings gathered by name and form, in order to fully ripen all of them, to place them in the Dharma of the Buddha, to distinguish all the numbers of beings, to rejoice in the wisdom of omniscience, as vast as the realm of Dharma, reaching the end of the realm of space, reaching the end of the final limit, in all the counted eons, and in all the counted realms of sentient beings, to fully ripen all sentient beings, called "unceasingly constant," which means to ripen all sentient beings, this is the fifth great aspiration. What are those sentient beings? What is the meaning of fully ripening them? All sentient beings are distinguished by coarse and subtle, distinguished by the place of birth, distinguished by the impure and pure places, distinguished by holding pleasure and pain, distinguished by owning karma because of various bodies, distinguished by nature, thus divided into six different kinds. Among them, the coarse ones are those with form, the subtle ones are those without form. Among those with form, the coarse ones are those with perception, the subtle ones are those without perception. Among those without form, the coarse ones are those with perception, the subtle ones should be known as neither with nor without perception. Thus, this is distinguished by coarse and subtle, that is, showing those with form, without form, with perception, without perception, neither with nor without perception, is a complete showing. Distinguishing by the place of birth means those born from eggs.

From egg-born, from womb-born, from moisture and heat-born, and from spontaneously born, by explaining these, one is completely relied upon. Those who are spontaneously born, what is their place of birth? It is karma, indeed karma is their place of birth. To differentiate by pure and impure places is completely explained through words belonging to the three realms. To differentiate by holding onto happiness and suffering is explained through words encompassing the six realms. Because of the variety of bodies, to differentiate by considering karma as one's own master is explained through words belonging to all births. To differentiate by nature is shown through words encompassing name and form. So, for such sentient beings, in what sense does one make sentient beings fully ripen? There are three meanings: to place in the Dharma spoken by the Buddha, this is because of the reason to uphold the Buddha's Dharma. To enter into the two Bodhis, this is because of the reason to cut off all the counted travelers. For the Great Bodhi, this is because of the reason to place in the omniscient wisdom, thereby accomplishing the great aspiration. Fourth Chapter. For example, the world is extremely vast, the edges are wide, immeasurable, subtle, reasonable, searchable, completely without an upper limit, the base is flat, possessing a house for entry, distinctions are like illusions, in order to comprehend and manifest with wisdom all the distinctions of the ten directions without limit, it is as vast as the Dharmadhatu, reaching the edge of the space realm, exhausting the end of the future, counting eons, counting worlds, and constantly and continuously entering into everything, this is called the sixth. Among these, all the worlds should be comprehended and manifested with the wisdom of three characteristics: the characteristic of all, the characteristic of ultimate meaning, and the characteristic of immeasurability. Among these, extremely vast, the edges are wide, and immeasurable, refer to the three worlds such as emptiness. What is the subtle one?
